Spit Beach Par
An ideal spot for peaceful moments and dog walks, Spit Beach Par is split by a large concrete disused pipeline, giving it an unusual industrial feel. The west side of the beach is sandy and backed by a golf course while the east side is backed by the China Clay Works.
There is no lifeguard or safety equipment at this beach although swimming and snorkelling is generally considered safe at high tide. Rockpooling is also popular here, especially along the foreshore towards Fishing Point where locals like to fish.
Dogs are permitted all year and the beach is off the coast path, making it a great stopover during a longer walk.
