St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh is the main house of worship for the Diocese of Edinburgh. This Gothic wonder rests in the middle of Edinburgh’s West End, easily reached by tram.

You can spot the cathedral from far away, thanks to its 90-metre spire. In fact, the building is one of the tallest in Edinburgh!

The category A-listed building came to be in 1879, and you can admire its Victorian features on a tour. On entry, you can admire the lofty ceilings and stained-glass windows that make the cathedral so breath-taking.

St Mary’s Cathedral Edinburgh is well-known for its music and is the only Scottish cathedral to hold daily choral services. The choirs are very impressive, performing in the cathedral’s services, concerts and festivals!
