Tamar Lakes Country Park
Tamar Lakes Country Park comprises two gorgeous lakes, an upper and a lower lake. These glistening waters are home to ample wildlife, along with bird hides for you to use.
A gravelled path weaves around both lakes, making for a wonderful biking and hiking spot. The Tamar Lakes Country Park is suitable for dogs, too, so your furry friend can join you!
If you’re up for a more exhilarating day out, the lakes rest near an outdoor activity centre. The centre allows you to hire windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing gear to use in the upper lake.
There are qualified instructors available who offer many different watersports sessions. You can choose from one-hour classes to day-long experiences.
Fishing is welcomed at the lakes. It’s a coarse fishery, with many species; carp, bream, roach and more can be caught here!
The dog-friendly Frog Hopper Cafe sits within close proximity of the park. It makes for the perfect end to a day out here, with light bites, homemade treats and meals available.
