The Dee Bridge
Listed as one of the ‘seven wonders of Wales’ The Dee Bridge, or the Llangollen Bridge as it is sometimes referred to, was built in the 16th century.
The bridge was originally built to accommodate horses and carts, but it was extended and widened in the 1800s with the development of the new railway line. The bridge consists of four pointed arches and is made from coursed rubble.
Part of UNESCO World Heritage, Llangollen is a stunning town with a breath-taking valley backdrop. The town and the bridge are a must-see for history and nature lovers alike.
