The Golden Lion Hotel

The Golden Lion Hotel holds the title of being the oldest pub in Padstow and it’s been run by the Rickard’s family for over 30 years. This is a must-try for any visitor to North Cornwall, with an array of delicious meals on offer.

The menu itself boasts traditional pub fare as well as plant-based and gluten-free options, so everyone can enjoy a tasty meal here.

The array of starters features mouthwatering options, including pan-fried king prawns and pressed ham hock. After polishing off a tasty starter, why not try one of the delicious, grilled steaks or a classic pub main?

If you love seafood, you’ll be pleased to know that The Golden Lion Hotel serves up wholetail scampi and beer-battered fish. Alternatively, you can tuck into a burger, where a selection of fillings are on offer, such as buttermilk chicken and steak.

If you’re visiting during lunchtime, you can also choose from the snacks menu. A few memorable picks include the mac n cheese, Caesar salad and cheesy chips.

Coming with little ones? The ‘Lion Cubs’ menu has some tasty offerings, including battered cod and char-grilled chicken.

Don’t forget to try some of the local beer on offer! You can choose from anything between Tintagel beer to Atlantic Pale Ale.

A memorable meal out with wonderful service awaits at The Golden Lion Hotel…
