Tregantle Fort

Originally built in the mid-19th century, Tregantle Fort served as the lynchpin of the Western Lines – a set of fortifications built to defend Plymouth Sound.

The site remains in military ownership and is used as a training facility for all three armed services despite being mothballed in the inter-war years.
