Could perhaps do with a couple more occasional tables in the sitting room to accomodate cups of tea or glasses of wine when watching TV! Brain was very helpful with regard to a couple of queries after arrival. The garden is pretty bare but not a problem for us as no children in the party. One thing to say about instructions for finding the house-they state that after the school there is a sign for Kildime after which is a right turn. In fact there is no sign there-I assume it was next to the turning on the left going to the cemetery in the past! Would be better if it stated 'just after the cemetery on the left there is a right turn into an unmarked road'. We did drive a long way up the road past the cemetery looking for the sign for Kildimo!!!

About the location

Spanish Point 2 miles; Lahinch 8 miles; Kilkee 21 miles.

The pretty town of Miltown Malbay is located close to the Atlantic coast in County Clare, and is only an hour from Shannon Airport. Famed for its traditional Irish music, it is home to the Willie Clancy music festival, which is held in July, however visitors will find fabulous live music in many pubs and bars whatever the time of year. Miltown Malbay is close to some excellent beach resorts, including Lahinch, Spanish Point and Doonbeg, all of which are well worth a visit for their relaxed vibe and great surf, not to mention their excellent golf courses. The Burren National Park to the north of the town is a mecca for walkers and nature lovers with its unique geological landscapes and rich colourful wildflowers. Also to the north you will find the striking Cliffs of Moher, which rise majestically out of the ocean and are best appreciated from one of many boat trips departing nearby.
