    The house was fit for the purpose of a family celebration, the host was very welcoming could maybe do with a bigger cooker as we were cooking for 17. Would definitely recommend it for large family gatherings and would consider going again.

This large and spacious detached house is situated four miles from the harbour town of Dungarvan, in County Waterford.

Sleeping a total of 18 guests, this property is ideal for extended families and large groups of friends wanting to gather together for a special occasion or holiday in the Sunny South East.

All bedrooms offer TVs and en-suite facilities, with three of the rooms being located on the ground floor including one equipped for guests with mobility issues, so offering flexible accommodation for all your guests.

The well-equipped kitchen leads through to a large dining room, with delightful views overlooking Dungarvan Bay.

On the first floor are a further six bedrooms and a lovely sitting area, overlooking the bay and the Comeragh Mountains.

Dungarvan offers a wide variety of shops, traditional pubs, delicious restaurants and three golf courses.

The popular town is home to Dungarvan Castle and the region is steeped in culture and heritage, including Lismore Heritage Town, just a short drive away.

The scenic Comeragh Drive leading out from Dungarvan, offers sensational views of the mountains and the Mahon Falls, with numerous high viewing points providing excellent panoramas over the green countryside below.

For lovers of the great outdoors, this area is wonderful to explore, with endless sandy beaches and seaside villages including Clonea, Ardmore, Youghal and Bunmahon, the Copper Coast where you can enjoy surfing, kayaking, diving and swimming.

The Waterford Greenway provides a safe and scenic route to walk or cycle while in the area.

A lovely, multi-coloured old harbour town, a real haven for fishing, boating, wind surfing and walking enthusiasts alike. Dungarvan really comes alive in summertime, with residents and visitors all indulging in their favourite water sports, or wiling the evenings away in one of the harbourside cafes, pubs or restaurants. For beach lovers, there are plenty of long sandy beaches within easy driving distance, whilst nearby Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, is a lively city with great shops, restaurants, theatres, pubs and nightlife. The city also houses The Waterford Museum of Treasures and the House of Waterford Crystal. Nearby attractions include the Round Tower and St Declans Way at the village of Ardmore, the beautiful Mount Melleray Abbey at Cappoquin and the Heritage Town of Lismore with its Heritage Centre and iconic castle. Also within easy driving distance are the many attractions of the “Premier County”, Tipperary, with its glorious scenery and historic monuments including the Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle.
