  • "We had a lovely stay in Woodpecker Loft."

The accommodation was great, well equipped and very clean with lots of space for walking gear etc. The location is beautiful and very remote, we did some really nice walks nearby. The outdoor seating area was a lovely place to sit with evening sun. Would definitely recommend!

  • "There is no washing machine, where I found other similar properties did have one but it was not an issue for us only staying a week."

However, everything else was provided to ensure all our needs were met. There was a plague of flies one evening, which came out of nowhere through the open window. We found fly spray and a fly swatter so we could deal with them. Strangely, we were not bothered by them again so not sure why this occured. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definately return. A very peaceful, remote environment.

  • "We spent the most wonderful 5 nights at Woodpecker Loft and have already booked to stay there again in two month's time."

From the moment we opened to the door to the loft, we felt immediately at home. The accommodation is delightful; extremely tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and with everything provided for the most comfortable stay. The cream tea on arrival was delicious and just one example of the care and attention to detail given by the hosts. The hosts Michael and Michele are just lovely; extremely helpful with all our enquiries about the local area and they went over and above to make our stay really special. I can't recommend Woodpecker Loft highly enough.

We liked Dulverton the nearest small market town. The Loft is well equipped, comfortable and felt very cosy when the gales were blowing in the surrounding trees on New Year's Eve. The owners were very welcoming and we enjoyed the mince pies and the bubbly.
