The property

Great Rill Farm, surrounded on all sides by the glorious green rolling hills typical of this area, is home to Anna's Cottage.

Set in 85 acres of open countryside, the farm is home to a lake (unfenced) which makes an ideal spot for a summer picnic.

A public footpath runs through the grounds and leads to a network of footpaths and bridleways, perfect for exploring.

A wild-flower meadow has been set aside especially so that canine companions may stretch their legs too!

All on the ground floor, this pretty cottage with its rose covered façade is traditionally furnished, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

To the front of the cottage, there is a small enclosed private garden.

The country kitchen/diner is bright and spacious, whilst the lounge with its wood burning stove is cosy and comfortable.

Wake in the mornings to gentle birdsong and views over the garden from the restful double bedroom.

About the location

Crediton 12 miles; Exeter 14 miles; Taunton 21 miles.

The largest town in Mid Devon, visit Tiverton for echoes of the past including a romantic castle, and horse-drawn barge trips on the idyllic Grand Western Canal. Occupying a strategic position on two rivers, the Exe and the Lowman, brought Tiverton wealth as a flourishing textile town, resulting in many fine buildings. These include the Jacobean Great House of St. George, three medieval almshouses, and the fantastic parish church of St. Peter with its remarkable frieze of merchant vessels with billowing sails. Another famous building is Old Blundells, immortalised by former pupil R.D. Blackmore in his classic Lorna Doone. However, the town's most famous building is beautiful Tiverton Castle, a royal fortress commissioned in 1106 by Henry I. Find out more about Tiverton's rich heritage at award-winning Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life, with 14 galleries of exhibits including the Tivvy Bumper GWR locomotive.
