"We had a wonderful stay at this cottage in Windermere, in the Lake District."
The location is fantastic—set in a beautiful area and very close to all the main attractions, including Windermere Lake and Kirkstone Pass, both just a short 10–15 minute drive away. Shops, cafes, and other essentials are also nearby, making everything very convenient. The cottage itself was comfortable and provided a lovely, peaceful base to relax after a day of exploring. The surrounding scenery is stunning, and it’s a great choice for anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the Lake District. I would definitely recommend this place. The only small improvement would be the addition of a washing machine and dryer, which would make longer stays even more convenient.
We are glad you enjoyed your holiday in Fell View Lodge, it is a beautiful lodge in the stunning Lake District. Regarding the lack of washing machine there is a laundrette for guest use on site so we thought extra cupboard space as more useful to guests within the lodge itself. Property Owner

"A great location and base for my family, with everything we could possibly need at the lodge to enjoy a 3 night break, including on-site pub serving drinks and food."
Cedar Manor is just a few minutes drive away to enjoy a fantastic Afternoon Tea - would highly recommend. We're already looking forward to booking FellView Lodge again!
-

"Fell View Lodge was home from home."
My daughters and I had a very relaxing stay with every need catered for. We didn’t want to leave! I would recommend it to anyone. Although the weather was a little mixed we knew we had the lodge to return to which would be warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.

"The lodge was very nice and comfortable with all the amenities we wanted."
Would definitely recommend this lodge. Beds and settees were very comfortable. The site was central to where we wanted to be. The clubhouse served very good food.
-
"Beautiful Lodge, spotless and clean in a beautiful location."
Had everything you needed. Was warm and cosy and a perfect place to relax and do some good local walks. We didn’t even have to use our car.
-
"Some lights didn't work no spares bulbs to replace them."
TV kept going off, need spare batteries, bathroom towel radiator had not been clean. In the double bedroom was quite a large gap in window on the left side even though the window was shut. Wifi was none existence. Even though there were issues we enjoyed our holiday.
-
"The property is advertised as having a washing machine - it does not."
Block knives need replacing or sharpening. Property was extremely comfortable and homely, the views from the patio where breathtaking. We would return without any hesitation.
-
"Lodge is lovely, it was clean, and well equipped, it was ideal for the couple of days away."
-
"The lodge was superficially clean and tidy when we arrived but because of Covid, we sprayed and wiped around surfaces, switches, handles etc."
Wiping the towel rails lifted off quite a bit of muck into the cloths and we needed to vacuum behind doors etc. Seemed like this hadn’t been done fir a good while. The cleaners seemed to have done a quick do-over but missed quite a lot. Crumbs on kitchen floor and bar stools for example. It did put a bit of a dampener on the start of our hols unfortunately. Having said that, once we’d wiped and cleaned we were very comfy. A lovely lodge let down by quick cleaning. Fair to say that this isn’t normally not an issue and would pass muster but is a big issue in these times particularly with kids nervous about the virus. Also advertising Free WiFi should have the caveat that it really can’t be relied on. It was pretty much non existent and extremely poor to put it mildly. Lovely lodge, well stocked, beautiful area and park and would come again. These were the only two niggles the first of which is easy to sort.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your valuable feedback on our property. I am very sorry to hear that there were some cleanliness issues during your stay. Had we been made aware of this during your stay we would have look to rectify this for you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We have ensured that all of your comments will be fed back to our cleaning team for future stays to ensure the high standard of cleanliness you should expect. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again soon! Property Owner

"Very clean and cosy lodge, had everything we needed."

"So after 12 years of camping with the kids ( now 11 and 14 ) in Cornwall we were forced out of our tent by Covid."
What a fantastic location and accommodation. The site has a great pub only 50 yards away and the river was fantastic for swimming and paddling. I set off on a walk at 7 am one day from the site and didn’t see a sole for 4 hours despite the wainwright peaks I climbed. The lodge was home from home. Highly recommended
