"The two really good things about this property is its location and very comfortable beds."
It’s only 25 mins walk to Keswick town with access to buses that will take you to different parts of the Lake District without needing to drive. Everything else Is very average if not on the poor side. For its price, I expect some basic provided like body wash, hand wash, tea bags, milk. Kitchen is equipped but the only frying pan provided looks like it’s been used to whack an intruder. The non-stick is peeling off, making it toxic, and it’s also wonky so didn’t quite work on the induction hob. Cafe was closed each time I wanted to visit. The roof of the porch was leaking water. Shoes and jackets left to hang in there were permanently damp. EV charger was impossible to use. Tv can’t seem to pick up internet signal most of the time so it’s difficult to use the on-demand apps. Shower pressure was poor and there were some molds on the walls in the shower area and behind the toilet. Overall the cabin looks pretty tired. It also feels a bit damp - evidenced by a couple of slugs that somehow managed to find their way to the kitchen.

"Lovely lodge by the river."
Very comfortable with everything we needed. A great spot to sit outside and enjoy the view and sounds of the water. Lovely walk into Keswick.
-
"Loved the place was nice and quiet loved the river behind us and the kayaks going down it Nice surrounding areas pubs nearby."

-
"Excellent location and great lodge to do some hiking from, a little dated but we would still highly recommend staying here as we had amazing weekend away."
-
"Could do with updating, but otherwise very good all round"
-
"Clean and comfortable if a little dated decoration wise."
-
"I believe the property was described as an enclosed garden."
As dog owner this is why I chose to stay here but the garden is not enclosed. Pillows weren't comfortable but maybe a personal preference. Everthing else was lovely. Felt very homely and relaxing! Definetly recommend.
-
"Great cabin and idyllic surroundings."
The beds were really comfortable and clean. I will definitely book this cabin next year but for a longer stay. We only noticed on leaving day that there was no suction on the Hoover, luckily we had a Hoover in our van.
-
"Billed for extra cleaning that was 100% not ours."
Not real ability to prove otherwise, so we just have to accept it.
