Watersmeet comprises a beautiful river gorge and historic forest on the Holnicote Estate. Here, you can look forward to exploring 2,000 acres of natural beauty, including the Lyn Valley’s woodlands.

There’s plenty to get up to at Watersmeet, including canoeing and fishing. If you plan no doing the latter, you can look forward to angling for a range of salmon and sea trout.

You can also try your hand at climbing the cliffs of Countisbury and Foreland Point, both of which are renowned to be the tallest sea cliffs in England.

Alternatively, why not sit back and unwind amidst the greenery and partake in wildlife spotting? Otters, buzzards and herons are a few charming creatures you could come across here.

There are a plethora of walks you can enjoy during a visit to Watersmeet, from short, family-friendly trails to moderate hikes along the river. A must-try is Lynmouth Circular, where elevated views of the coast await.
