Described as "the most beautiful village in England" by 19th century artist and political activist William Morris, Bibury is the archetype of the quaint honey-stoned Cotswold village. It is home to one of the most recognisable streets in Britain, the iconic Arlington Row. Since 2010 an image of the row of former weavers' cottages has been featured on the inside cover of all newly issued UK Passports. The cottages are now a popular photo-stop, with many stopping by to admire the beauty of the medieval architecture and the adjacent Rack Isle water meadow, an area once used for hanging out wool to dry over racks that is now a habitat for numerous plants and animals. We have a selection of holiday cottages in Bibury and the surrounding area that will feel like a home from home.
