boasting Britain's only Coastal National Park, mainly protected
by the National Trust and bordered by a coastal path. 186 miles in
length, the route leads you through spectacular landscapes, from
volcanic headlands to glacial valleys, with pretty villages on hand
for welcoming refreshments. Explore small sections at a time or
take advantage of the local bus service, allowing you to go one way
by bus, the other on foot. Of course, there are plenty of other
activities too, including all kinds of water sports, not to mention
daring adventure sports like coasteering.
In fact, there's a stack of things to see and do here! Visit
St. Davids Cathedral in Britain's smallest city. Laze on one of
the many Blue Flag beaches like Barafundle Bay, where the wow
factor is guaranteed! Explore the colourful harbour town of Tenby -
and perhaps enjoy a trip to Caldey Island just off the coast.
Family parks range from dinosaurs to roller coasters. Visit the
walled town of Pembroke and its mighty Norman castle. Take in the
views from the Preseli Mountains. Discover the Daugleddau Estuary,
Pembrokeshire's 'secret waterway' and enjoy a waterside
stroll by Carew Castle. Go dolphin and whale watching; even wine
tasting.
