    Very thought owners have everything covered in the welcome pack to the baskets of things you may have forgotten Owl Cottage is in a central location for visiting all parts of Peak district. Great fish and chips and friendly pub. Easy access to foot paths for dog walks. We very much hope to revisit Owl Cottage again.

The property

Owl Cottage is a terraced cottage which rests amidst the delights of Tideswell, right in the heart of the superb Peak District National Park.

Surrounded by seemingly infinite outdoor opportunities, and with excellent access to a number of must-visit towns, this is a wonderful base for two couples looking to get away and let their hair down together.

To relax among this serene rural location, climb the steps to reach the enclosed patio at the back of the property, a superb spot to sit and soak up the peaceful atmosphere with a chilled drink in hand.

Tideswell is a wonderful place to base your Peak District holiday, its pretty main street plays host to an assortment of fine pubs, eateries and more.

The surrounding area offers a wealth of opportunity for lovers of the outdoors, with a multitude of picturesque paths and trails, leading through some of the most idyllic scenery imaginable.

For a slower-paced break, visit the variety of fascinating towns that sit within reach, including the beautiful spa town of Buxton and the fabulous market town of Bakewell.

Buxton 9 miles; Bakewell 9 miles.

The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more including a convenient supermarket open daily until 10pm. The pretty little market town of Bakewell is also just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
