Step back in time with a brew in the 1920s-style tea room and then climb aboard the lovingly restored carriages of this wonderful steam train to soak up the scenic splendour.
Goathland has attracted walkers long before the media set moved in - and still does today. Enthusiasts are within easy reach of the long distance Cleveland Way trail, while gentler options include a stroll to Beck Hole, Darnholm or Mallyan Spout - a spectacular 70-ft waterfall. You can also follow the Roman Road of Wheeldale Moor, or enjoy the popular three-and-a-half mile walk known as 'The Rail Trail', combining a trip on the train with a walk between Goathland and Grosmont.
