Hutton-le-Hole Cottages
Please find below a selection of self catering holiday cottages
to rent in Hutton Le Hole, Yorkshire.
On the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park, our
Hutton-le-Hole cottages nestle in one of Yorkshire's most
picturesque villages, with its old stone cottages, meandering
stream and large expanse of common land that's always
immaculately trimmed by grazing sheep.
Ramblers and walkers flock here in droves, as do other tourists
keen to visit the celebrated Ryedale Folk Museum. Winner of many
awards, this open-air museum is right in the centre of the village
and offers a fascinating insight into times past. Watch traditional
craft demonstrations like rug making, admire the 1850s' fire
engine, view the renowned Hayes collection of photos; then step
back into the present day and view modern art in the gallery. Look
out for special events throughout the year.
Sample the finest handmade chocolates at The Chocolate Factory, a
family-run business that's been making the headlines recently.
Browse the craft and gift shops and enjoy a cup of Yorkshire's
finest in a cosy tearoom. There's also a well-established
watering hole serving tasty food.
Explore the Moors by boots, horseback, bicycle or car - and look
out for The Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge, a fabulous old pub on the
highest point of the National Park renowned for food and drink for
miles around. Visit the market towns of Kirkbymoorside (just two
miles away), Helmsley and Pickering. And if you're holidaying
with children, Flamingo Land Theme Park is about a twenty-minute
drive - guaranteeing hours of fun for all the family.
So considering the size of this small village, a Hutton-le-Hole
cottage holiday offers endless surprises!
