Trearddur Bay Cottages
Please find below a selection of self catering holiday cottages
in Trearddur Bay, Wales.
Seaside holidays don't come much better than a Treaddur Bay
cottage holiday, nestling in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
on the west coast of tiny Holy Island, Anglesey. A region blessed
by a Gulf Stream climate.
The bay's main attraction is undoubtedly the sheltered Blue
Flag beach, where there's a vast swathe of sand - perfect for
buckets and spades and all kinds of water sports. Canoeing,
sailing, water skiing and diving (there are some great wrecks
offshore) are all popular, as is fishing at nearby Mackerel
Rock.
The Coastal Path is a walker's delight and the stretch down
to Rhoscolyn is especially favoured by nature lovers - with a
little luck, you may spot a Peregrine Falcon. And there's a pub
at Rhoscolyn for welcome refreshments. There are also lots of other
pretty beaches and coves in the area, including Porth Dafarch.
Play golf? The 18-hole Holyhead Golf Club is located at
Trearddur Bay, with testing fairways through heather and gorse.
There's also a local riding school.
Fancy some sightseeing? Anglesey offers numerous attractions and
one of its best is close to our Treaddur Bay cottages - South Stack
Cliffs RSPB Nature Reserve and Lighthouse. Bring binoculars and
view amazing birdlife - and watch out for dolphins off the coast in
summer.
Dotted about are some quality restaurants, cafés, pubs and
shops, while Holyhead is just a couple of miles away if you need a
wider selection. And if you're planning a holiday in autumn,
don't miss Trearddur Bay's fantastic Anglesey Oyster &
Local Food Produce Festival - it's an absolute must for
'foodies'!
