Set on a friendly coastal park, this well-presented static caravan makes a great base for families or friends eager to enjoy Somerset’s laid-back pace, fresh sea air, and rugged shoreline.

With enclosed decking, flexible sleeping arrangements and room for your four-legged companion, it’s a comfortable spot to return to after a day by the sea. Step inside and you’ll find a bright, open-plan living space designed for easy-going holiday living.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with an oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and all the bits you need to prepare a hearty breakfast or evening meal.

Gather around the dining table before settling into the sitting area, complete with an electric fire and TV — the perfect place to wind down after exploring the coast. There are two inviting bedrooms, including a double with en-suite walk-in shower and WC, and a twin room ideal for children or friends.

A separate shower room adds convenience for busy mornings before heading out for the day. Step outside onto the enclosed decking — a fine spot to sip your morning coffee, tuck into a barbecue supper, or simply listen to the distant crash of the waves.

Private parking is available too, keeping things simple from the moment you arrive. Watchet itself is full of character, with its historic harbour, independent shops and welcoming pubs all within walking distance.

Stroll along the esplanade with an ice cream in hand, explore the town’s maritime museum, or catch the West Somerset Railway for a nostalgic steam train ride through rolling countryside.

The nearby Doniford Beach is great for rock pooling or stretching your legs, while Minehead, Exmoor National Park, and the Quantock Hills are all easily reached by car, offering everything from bracing coastal walks to traditional seaside fun. For a laid-back escape on Somerset’s beautiful coast, Caravan – 2 Bayside ticks all the right boxes.

WATCHET

Minehead 9 miles.

Watchet is a delightful, small Somerset harbour town with a maritime history going back over two millennia, where visitors may enjoy the variety of quaint shops on offer and watch the boats in the marina. Watchet attracts railway enthusiasts from all around, as The West Somerset Railway, twenty miles of preserved steam railway, passes through Watchet and continues through stunning scenery to the coastal town of Minehead, approximately nine miles away. There are superb walks along the coast from Watchet, while towards St Audries in the east, the Quantock Hills rise to 1,000 feet above the sea and the Brendon Hills and Exmoor are to the west, within easy reach. Explore the many pretty coastal and inland villages including Porlock, with its steep hill and pretty winding streets, Dunster with its dramatic castle perched above the historic village and the busy resort of Minehead with its sandy beach, golf course and traditional seaside attractions. This is an excellent choice of holiday destination for rural beauty, dramatic coastline and splendid walking.
