"This is a lovely cottage on an ex-working farm adjacent to the owners cottage just outside of Loftus."
The cottage has been refurbished and extended to a very high standard with 2 bedrooms and plenty of space. There is safe off-road parking behind the farm gates . Although the farm is no-longer working they still have a small collection of friendly animals including a very talkative pig , and a horse which watches your every move. There were also Barn and Tawny owls flying over. The small town of Loftus is currently being improved but has a lot of work to be done to make it attractive, this does not detract from the cottage , there are many other attractive places on the moors and coast to visit. The hosts are very welcoming.

The market place is now complete as part of a 9 million pound regeneration scheme in the area, it’s host to a number of independent businesses including a fantastic local bakery. We can’t wait to see what else it brings as we have regularly been described as the perfect base to explore the area

"Without a doubt the best holiday property we have stayed in with a fresh, clean and modern feel as soon as you walk in."
Very well looked after and equipped, plenty of parking space and safely enclosed garden. Lovely sunny lounge with open outlook and the conservatory was perfect for dining. Friendly owners on site if needed and lots of places to visit nearby.
Ticked all the boxes for us.

The cottage was spotless, bright and airy, with every conceivable convenience available to ensure our comfort. The owners were a joy to meet, and were committed to us enjoying our holiday...

"Grounds of property was fine apart from loose rocks which my grandson hurt his foot on, the boulder at top of stairs outside."
Inside beds very uncomfortable & pillows, bathroom very dirty around skirting boards with dust & fluff.
Received msgs from owner regarding lights being left on which I found a bit uncalled for as the electric is included in our price.
My grandson spilt a little juice on one of beds which I tried to clean before we left, we were told you strip all beds prior to leaving.

We are sorry that you encountered issues. It’s very surprising to us as our feedback is consistently excellent. You did not alert us to the injury, he appeared well whilst playing daily. You mentioned cleanliness issues, nothing was raised to us during your stay, they have only been raised by yourselves after Sykes contacted you about unreported damage. Outside lights were on throughout the day, and we politely asked if you were aware,as some guests have turned them on accidentally previously.

"Love it, Love it, Fantastic little bungalow, we wanted for nothing and we’re extremely happy."
Great location for exploring the area, if you don’t fancy driving everywhere there is a bus stop at the bottom right of the drive, we took the bus to Whitby one day and Saltburn the next so much easier than struggling for parking and in the holiday season the buses run late back. Some great walks around the area as well. Owners very pleasant and helpful and knowledgeable and respect your privacy they live on site and are available if needed, not that we did. I would 100% book this property again if we head back that way.

"Really lovely place to stay."
The owners are really friendly, the house was clean, comfy beds, beautifully decorated and furnished, with a welcome basket upon arrival. Great place for walking. Lots of coastal walks and walks inland on public footpaths, through fields and walks. Would definitely recommend.

"This is definitely in our top 3 “summer holiday “ stays."
An amazing house!!! Truly lovely owners and the animals were awesome too. We loved our stay at Foulsyke bungalow. Genuinely didn’t want to leave. Such a comfortable house with lots of space and everything you could possibly need for a fabulous break. Lovely area with lots to do and the owners were so helpful in advising of where to go. "A lovely holiday bungalow, very clean and everything you could want while staying there."
Beautiful setting on a small holding farm and not far from some lovely places to visit. Great animals on the farm which are friendly and funny at times. Vicky and Darrin were lovely, there knowledge of the area was second to none, very friendly and welcoming. A lovely welcoming hamper was greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend this property.

"The Bungalow was well furnished and very clean."
It was situated in Loftus giving us easy access to all the coastal towns. The owners were very good and identified places where we could exercise the dog safely and all the places of interest for us to visit I would recommend this holiday as it is suitable for families and couples with or without a dog.

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful holiday bungalow. Spotlessly clean and all the home comforts you will ever need. Fantastic location, walks to the coast from your doorstep. Our grandson who just over 3 years old loved to feed the the animals on the farm everyday with the owners who are really friendly and lovely people with a passion for animal welfare. Even all the animals are super friendly to. This is our second visit to Foulsyke farm we stayed in the cottage 2 years ago. We will for sure be returning again. All the best Darrin & Vicky, keep up the great work you are doing ensuring your guests have wonderful happy holiday memories.

"We have stayed in many holiday properties but this could possibly be the best."
We stayed in December so to walk through the front door and be greeted with a Christmas tree was special. A wonderful welcome basket which was much appreciated after a long journey. The bungalow is very comfortable and warm and has everything you could wish for. The garden was safe for our dog and the farm has many animals to see which I imagine would be lovely in the summer months. The hosts are easy to contact if you have any questions and are a very lovely, friendly couple. The walks from the door are incredible as is all the North Yorkshire coast. We will be back again.

"We absolutely loved the Bungalow, was well furnished & immaculate."
It had everything we needed, including lovely welcome pack.
Ideal location for us..we visited Saltburn & Whitburn, as we only had weekend there.

"A great place for a holiday."
The animals on the farm where the bungalow is are great fun to see and (if you are lucky) feed. The bungalow is a 20 - 30 Minute walk from the spectacular Cleveland Way walk along the coast. There are three excellent beeches within 15 or 20 minutes, with fossil hunting at Runswick Bay. Plenty to do in Whitby, including kayaking or rowing on the River Esk at Ruswarp Riverside Cafe. Lovely new and clean bungalow with everything you need. All in all, would thoroughly recommend.

"The was a great place to stay."
The property is renovated to a very high standard and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is fantastic and within easy access to various beautiful coastal resorts. The added bonus was seeing the various animals around the farm. The owners are lovely and the welcome pack and guide were really useful.

"Lovely bungalow, very modern and exceptionally clean."
The owners are really friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Set in an area with great beaches and places to visit.
All the facilities you need for a relaxing break.
Conservatory blinds would be useful as it did get very hot in there and made the area unusable with the current hot weather.
Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback we really do appreciate it. The conservatory has tinted roof glass and has three windows and a door. Lots of guests have said it is a stunning and enjoy the rural views from the conservatory. We have had unprecedented heatwaves in the uk this summer but we hope that the outside seating to front and rear gardens help our guests stay cool during the summer.
