"We loved our stay at Tom's Barn, everything we needed was provided here."
Very quiet and peaceful location, yet not far away to get to plenty of places in Somerset and Dorset.
-
"We had a lovely relaxing time in this spacious and well appointed accommodation."
The scones were a really nice touch and it was a very peaceful spot.
-
"We had a great stay."
Everything you could think of, plenty of space and very peaceful. Would come back in a flash
-
"A super cottage one of the best we have stayed in Very well equipped and very clean."
Would 100% recommend. Its in a lovely location in the country but not far from places. The only downside we had was only 1 toilet and with 4 adults can be challenging but we knew that when we booked. Would love to go back in the future. Carols scones were lovely too.

"We have had another lovely restful break at Toms Barn."
We love it there and everything was perfect again.
-
"We had a brilliant stay at Tom's Barn, clean, quiet and comfortable, a perfect base for our mother-daugther week away."
Lovely cream tea provided on arrival and the owners came to check that everything was okay during our stay. We almost took the cat home after he jumped in car whilst we packed up! Would definitely stay here again.

"I was looking for somewhere to stay whilst visiting family in the area and Tom’s Cabin popped up."
I booked it due to location (very near my sisters house) and a good price, I felt, I’m so pleased I booked it! We were thrilled on arrival to find it decorated for Christmas, spotlessly clean, had the loveliest personal touches like a dog welcome pack and local, premium products like pukka tea bags and Dorset Cereal packs in our welcome pack. The barn is perfect with lovely walks and the best of Somerset and Dorset on the doorstep. Thank you so much for having us Carol and Glen, we’ll definitely be back very soon. Xx

Great setting , thoroughly recommend.
-
"Enjoyable short stay in Somerset - good place to explore the area - could return soon."
-
"Our second visit to Tom's Barn this year and it was fantastic."
The barn is beautifully appointed, immaculately clean and very well equipped. The heating and hot water worked well as it was cold and wet for most of the week. This is a perfect country getaway spot, Carol and Glen were lovely and their cats were very friendly and came to say hello. Thoroughly recommend.
-
"Owner was very helpful."
Close to lots of places of interest. A very comfortable, airy but well insulated.
-
"We loved our stay at Tom’s barn."
We had a friendly, warm welcome from Carol with delicious homemade scones and cream - a lovely start to our holiday. Tom’s barn had everything we needed for a great place to stay. A comfortable place to sit; a lovely outside bit (which, because of the weather, we were able to enjoy); very well equipped kitchen; a lovely bathroom and very comfortable beds. The place was peaceful and welcoming and there were so many places to visit from there. This holiday let was definitely one of the best ones we’ve stayed in ~ if you choose Tom’s barn you will not be disappointed.
-
"Great stay at this lovely property, very clean and very comfortable."
This is the best equipped property we’ve ever stayed in, tucked away, positioned ideally for our holiday. Beautiful countryside and the owners were fantastic. I would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tom’s Barn."
It was just as described. Very spacious and comfortable in a peaceful location. The bed was very comfortable and particularly the pillows which I have a thing about as a good pillow aids a good nights sleep! We travelled with our dog and a bed, towel, bowl and treats provided are a lovely touch, along with home made scones, jam and clotted cream for the humans! There are plenty of things to do and eateries not too far away. Would definitely recommend Tom’s Barn.

"Very nice barn everything you needed for a holiday was there welcome pack was very welcome after a long journey, even the dog wasn't forgotten would like to return in the future."
Owners were helpful with places to visit and eat

"Second time staying here and delighted to be back."
Really enjoyable stay. Hope to return again.
-
"Tom's Barn is beautifully presented, it's immaculate inside and out."
A tin of home baked scones, homemade jam and clotted cream awaited our arrival, which was a lovely touch. Parking was simple, the cottage had everything you could possibly need or want. The beds were comfy, the central heating was fantastic, the shower was like one you'd find in a posh hotel. Carol, the owner, was so kind and one of her kitties came to say hello. The whole area was so peaceful, the birdsong woke me up each morning .. far more civilised than the noisy seagulls I have at home. We had such a terrific time, we're going back in October!

"We loved Tom’s Barn."
It is immaculately clean and very comfortable with everything you need. The kitchen is very well equipped and I have serious cooker envy. The owners provided food bowls and a little treat bag for the dog as well as a dog towel and small bed. Our dog particularly enjoyed the paddock where he could play ball. The barn is in easy reach of many beautiful villages and national trust properties and we enjoyed some great walks. The owners are friendly and welcoming and easy to contact if you need anything. We would love to visit again one day.
-
"We had a wonderful stay at Toms Barn over Easter."
. It’s warm, clean and really cosy and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The beds are super comfy. We had lovely homemade scones, jam and cream, milk and Easter eggs left for us on our arrival… which were delicious and a lovely treat. Would definitely stay again as there’s so many places to visit in the area.. and Toms Barn is a perfect base.
-
"Super cottage."
Ideal for booking with the cottage opposite. Very comfy and great to stay somewhere that has ample cooking equipment. Lovely walks from the door. Thank you so much for sharing your barns.
-
"Fabulous family friendly property in a very peaceful location."
Spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and great communication. We only booked the day before and it was perfect.
-
"Beautiful barn in a rural area but only 8mins away from Yeovil Town centre."
Barn had everything we could need including decorated for Christmas. We had an amazing stay. Thank you Carol and Glen
-
"We had a very enjoyable week at Tom’s Barn."
It was very clean and comfortable, it was decorated for Christmas which made it nice and cosy. We didn’t need to use the log burner as we were warm enough without it. It was a great base for exploring the area, the single track roads near the property were a little scary at times but we got used to them and didn’t really come across much traffic, once through the village you were on main roads anyway. The only thing I could suggest was maybe a dish drainer or drying mat as if you wanted to just hand wash a couple of things there was no where to put them, everything else was provided including cleaning products and hand wash etc. Thanks very much for a great week.
-
"Very comfortable cottage, with excellent facilities."
The homemade scones were delicious.
-
"We had a lovely holiday and Carol and Glen were very accommodating."
The property is comfortable and convenient with everything on the ground floor. It's worth clarifying there's no DVD or Blu-ray player, although the TV's are smart and it's possible to log into Netflix etc on there. Being an active site it's not always quiet in the evenings but we were never bothered or disturbed by it.
-
"Loved everything about the place, the owner's Carol and Glen are lovely people."
I wished we could have stayed longer than 2 weeks! I can't fault it.
-
"We loved our stay!"
All the little touches of the flowers and the scones and the fact there was toilet roll and hand soap on arrival! Whenever we needed anything you were straight in to help. The barn is beautiful and we were very comfortable and very sad to go home!
-
"Thank you Carol for another lovely stay in Toms Barn and for the delicious scones."
-
"A beautiful home for a week, with everything we needed."
Surpassed expectations. I only booked it because hubby wanted to go to the Fleet Air Arm museum and I wanted to spoil him for our 30th wedding anniversary. We didn’t have the best weather, but went cycling using parts of the south Somerset cycleway and found good cafes to stop at. Good trip to Lulworth Cove and had a fab rest day sitting out the pouring rain doing the kitten jigsaw, drinking tea and watching telly (and even the Fleet Air Arm museum wasn’t too bad!)
-
"Only thing l would say is on the site there was a garage and in the evening they use to burn material's which had a strong smell."
This means that it was difficult to sit outside in the garden.
-
"Lovely place to stay and great location."
-
"Hosts were very welcoming and helpful with any request."
Would return any time. Comfortable and clean
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tom's Barn."
The owners had left homemade jam, scones and clotted cream for us plus milk, which was greatly appreciated after a long drive. There was everything we needed at the barn including plenty of firewood which made for a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended! Many thanks to Carol and Glen
-
"Lovely property in a lovely location."
Stayed as a family with a 4 and 6 year old. Very comfortable and lots of thoughtful touches. Very well equipped. Would happily stay again and recommend.
-
"Tom’s Barn is everything you would want in a holiday home - indeed - in a home."
Could have moved in to be really honest. Spotlessly clean, everything required for your holiday. Peaceful surroundings and conveniently located. We visited Sherborne, Shaftsbury and Glastonbury during our four day break - all beautiful. The barn had a woodburner but we didn’t need it due to the excellent heating system - even though it was cold outside. Our very old dog Tom was catered for too. Welcome pack for him and for us. Superb!!
-
"We were greeted by freshly baked scones and a welcome pack for our dog - lovely touches."
The cottage was absolutely immaculate and contained everything we needed for a very restful week. The location was lovely and peaceful with views over the open countryside. We would thoroughly recommend Jack's cottage and would definitely return if in the area again.
-
"The barn was lovely with everything you could need and more for a stay."
On our arrival we found freshly made scones, jam and clotted cream along with some milk. A basket of chocolate, teas and cereal. As it was at Christmas time it was nicely decorated with a tree and even Christmas Crackers on the table. We spoke with the owner a couple of times who was welcoming and very helpful. Plenty of information was left in the barn. We would certainly book again.
-
"Just returned from spending a week at Tom's Barn."
Everything was just perfect, from the scones, jam & clotted cream to welcome us & of course the doggie welcome pack. Lovely rural location, but handy for some lovely days out - Wells, Jurassic coast, Cheddar, Glastonbury & more. Tom's Barn has everything - warm & cosy, very comfy bed, excellent large bathroom & the range a real treat to use. Only regret it wasn't cold enough to light the log burner!!!
-
"Carole snd Glen were extremely helpful and accommodating and whilst being next door we were left to ourselves too."
Logs were provided for our stay and as it was apple time we were able to help ourselves from the tree outside. Very nice barn
-
"A spacious well equipped warm property of a very high standard."
An ideal centre for visiting NT properties and good local restaurants.
-
"Toms barn is one of the best equipped holiday cottages we have stayed in with absolutely everything you need to self cater and all very clean."
The barn is very remote making it lovely & peaceful.
-
"If you are looking at this place and thinking do I then I would say book it."
Went there for a week with my new partner and it was the break I needed but didn't know it. Looks pretty much as it does in the pictures and I hope it stays like this as we had a lovely time. Main bed was comfortable, blind made the room as dark as it could be, very little noise as you are only in a small cluster of properties. They've done their best to think of everything that you might need and with the range we enjoyed cooking even though on holiday and didn't plan to. Scones, were very welcome after the long journey and I even managed to save some of the home made jam for my toast in the morning, delicious. Thanks again Carol and Glen
-
"Thanks again Carol and Glen for a lovely stay, in your peaceful spot in Somerset."
It had everything we needed plus the homemade scones - always a winner! The broadband for TV was rather slow but hopefully the new fibre will help that. Besides, it's time to switch off more whilst on holiday!
-
"We would highly recommend staying at Tom's Barn, a perfect place to stay."
We had a lovely welcome from Carol & Glen, they told us about the property & left scones & a treat bag for our dog - a really nice touch. So much space for a family of four, beautifully decorated & furnished & lovely to have parking spaces for two cars. In a really peaceful location but close enough to visit many lovely places that both Somerset & Dorset have to offer.
-
"Very well equipped and furnished converted barn."
Gorgeous home made scones and jam provided by Carol for us and even the dog had a treat bag. Enclosed garden ideal for dog and also a field for her to run around. Only recommendation I would make was to fence the side of the field which runs down to the road (although there is a hedge this is below the field level). Definitely recommend Tom's Barn and would return
-
"All round excellent."
What more is there to say ?
-
"Toms barn was excellent everything we wished for for our break."
Carol welcomed us to the property and we found everything that was promised and more.
-
"Toms Barn is even nicer than it looks on the website."
Spotless, warm, spacious and comfortable throughout with plenty of hot water and kitchen utensils. Karen was warm and welcoming and even left us some home made scones, cream and jam and a welcome pack for our dog, on our arrival. We slept like logs in the comfy beds as it was so peaceful. I would give 10/10 however the wi fi was a bit patchy and we could only watch Netflix in the double bedroom which was a bit of a shame. Other than that it was perfect and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet break in the Somerset countryside.
-
"Ambience, style."
- very good for wheelchair user. Great hosts
-
"We enjoyed our two week stay in Tom's Barn very much."
It is conveniently located yet in a peaceful rural location and the perfect base from which to explore Somerset. There were a number of interesting places to visit within easy reach (National Trust etc), a very nice "farm shop" / bistro close by and the coast is not too far away either. The well equipped accommodation was very comfortable and the thoughtful welcome pack was much appreciated too. The private garden area can be a real suntrap on fine days and all of these things combined helped make this an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
-
"Carol made us very welcome, with a cream tea and welcome pack for our dog on arrival."
The barn was well equipped with everything we could have wanted and the setting was amazing, so tranquil whilst being close enough to Yeovil as to not feel too remote!
-
"Really lovely property and the owners couldn't have been more helpful."
The cottage has only recently been opened so everything was brand new and immaculate from a design and facilities perspective. Highly recommended, we look forward to coming back!
-
"Tom’s barn was perfect."
We had a such a lovely fortnight’s holiday. The property was beautifully maintained, well equipped and very clean. It is also very quiet and private surrounded by stunning countryside. The owners, Carol and Glen, are very friendly and always on hand if needed. We very much appreciated the cream and jam scones and other treats on arrival and mid break.
-
"It was a real privilege to be the first family to stay at Tom’s Barn."
The barn was immaculate with absolutely everything you could need. The homemade cream tea on arrival was a lovely welcome!
