"The property was beautiful prepared, the excellent furnishings and cleanliness was of the highest quality, we loved the welcome pack, pleasantly surprised with the real butter, milk and bread, and a bottle of wine, the property situated on main rd, not a busy Rd, so not affected by traffic, was perfect for visiting chatsworth, Bakewell and other popular attractions, and great for touring the Peak District, a highly recommended property, with the excellent double rooms with on-suite walk in showers."

"A good place to stay."
Smithy is very comfortable and well equipped for an enjoyable stay.
Good walks just across the road. Railway station in easy walking distance with access to good walking areas (Edale)if you don't want to take your car.
If you want to eat at the king William make sure you book, we went there two nights running, unable to get any food either night. Kitchen shuts at right.

Everything of the highest standard. Nicely decorated and a real bonus to have two en suite rooms. Perfect for two couples. Perhaps only drawback off road parking for one car only. Good location and lots of great walks in the area. Would certainly use again.

It is spotlessly clean and is extremely well equipped. The owner has really gone the extra mile to make sure everything you need, or may need for your stay is provided and of the highest standard. The Welcome basket was a lovely touch, especially the fresh local bread. Loved the Pears soap and hand wash in the bathrooms and the bee cushions on the bed. Cyclists would really appreciate the lockable storage for their bikes and there is a lovely space to sit outside. The perfect place to stay in order to explore the Dales. Thankyou for a wonderful few days.

First of all a fantastic welcome pack.A lot of thought had gone into this.
The Smithy has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard.
The kitchen had everything you would have at home.
The bedding and bath towels were luxurious.
Spotlessly clean.
Yvonne and Paul are fantastic hosts and have thought of everything.
This is a gem in a wonderful part of the country.
We will definitely be back and wish Yvonne and Paul every success.

The property has recently been fully modernised to a very high standard. We were greeted with a welcome pakage which was a lovely touch. This is a new venture for the owners and it's bound to be a huge success.
