    It was my mum’s 90th and Duncombe catered for all ten of us - 9 adults and a baby. Everything was as advertised and I have no hesitation recommending this property if you have a large party.

  • "We had a great week at Duncombe over May half term."

    The house is lovely, spacious and very well equipped. We were a family party of 6 adults and 4 children, aged 1 to 13, and there were things to occupy everyone! We had great weather so made good use of the garden. The house is in a good location about 10 mins walk to the town and seafront. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues but Teresa was very helpful and sorted them on the same day, even on a bank holiday Monday!! We all enjoyed our stay at Duncombe and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Karen

  • "We had a lovely stay at Duncombe."

    The property was perfect for the needs of our group and with some good weather we enjoyed time in the beautiful garden. We loved the well equipped kitchen and sitting room and snug and the fact the property is about a 10 minute walk to the pier, shops and restaurants. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the work being done on the property with scaffolding etc. We hope to return again when this is completed. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "We felt that in the games room the dartboard and the football table needed replacing."

    In all the rooms there were signs of them not quite being cleaned properly. We also thought the rugs on the wooden floors were a tripping hazard. In general the property a bit of tidying up around the edges.( we could see it was a work in progress). The kitchen was well equipped and the dining room was good.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Duncombe."

    The property felt like a real home with everything you could need. The beds were very comfortable and the 3 double rooms at the front had lovely views out to sea. The children particularly enjoyed the games room and playing in the garden. We were able to walk down to the beach which was good and we enjoyed a game of crazy golf. If we had any questions Teresa was very quick to respond and was very helpful. Would definitely recommend this property for a family holiday and all the family thought it was the best family holiday we had been on with the accommodation and the easy walk to the beach. A great holiday - thank you.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Duncombe."

    It's a lovely spacious house which suited our multi-age family gathering very well. The games room was specially popular! There were a couple of issues with heating and hot water but these were promptly sorted out by the owners.

  • "This property is exceptional from the cleanliness, facilities and to the garden which is safe and enclosed."

    This home has clearly been loved, appreciated and well cared for over the years. The views from some of the bedrooms is spectacular. We had no idea just how wonderful it was until we arrived. The property and parking is easy to access and there is additional park outside the property if you are lucky. Town is a 10 minute walk as is Lidl and the train station. I would highly recommend this property to families and large groups. Thank you to the owners and cleaners for a wonderful stay.

  • "We had a fantastic holiday at Duncombe with all the family, the garden, games room and snug was perfect for the younger and older kids!"

    The house was very well equipped and up to date, kitchen had all utensils you could need,though maybe a couple of extra tea towels would of been handy. I would 100% recommend the house!

  • "Duncombe was wonderful for our multi generational family."

    It was wonderfully equipped, literally had absolutely everything you would need. The games room was wonderful and we spent many hours playing table tennis and darts. Well positioned within walking distance to the beach and town but located in a quiet area. Large bedrooms, many bathrooms and good living area space. View of the sea from the front bedrooms which was wonderful to wake up to. A really good find.

  • "Loved the house great for a larger family gathering."

    Lots of space and everything you need to entertain everyone, Darts was a firm favorite. Kitchen very well equipped. Location was close to harbour and town to pop in and enjoy local life. Great views and a relaxing garden in the sunshine. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

​Duncombe is a delightful detached Victorian villa in the coastal town of Teignmouth, Devon.

This pet-friendly property boasts an open fire, ideal for nights in, a games room for hours of entertainment, partial ground-floor living and various amenities suited for those with limited mobility.

TEIGNMOUTH

Dartmoor National Park 12 miles; Torbay 13 miles; Exeter 15 miles.

The historic, seaside town of Teignmouth is situated in South Devon on the mouth of the Teign estuary and boasts a working harbour, sandy beach, Victorian pier, sailing club, diving centre and sea activity centre. The seaward side of the town is known as ‘the Den’ and has elegant Georgian buildings, a large public area with lawns, play areas, tennis courts, a bowling green, and a miniature lighthouse. On the opposite side of Teignmouth are fishing boats and beach huts, plus views of the village of Shaldon and the hills of Dartmoor can be seen. Teignmouth also hosts folk and jazz festivals each year, whilst both the town and Shaldon hold annual carnivals and water regattas.
