  • "What a fabulous place to stay in beautiful Shropshire."

    So clean and comfortable. Everything was top spec and well thought out. Even an enclosed paddock for the dog which was amazing. Pub across the road great for food too and lots of walks nearby. The owners were lovely and really helpful. Loved it so much we stayed an extra night! We would definately recommend and hope to return soon.

  • "The Old Piggery was the perfect place for my mum, sister and I to sleep the night before my wedding."

  • "Outstanding holiday property."

    Everything one would hope for! Excellent facilities, comfortable, spotless, quiet and relaxing. Ideal for visiting the Ironbridge Gorge and Museums. Walking from the cottage on lanes and footpaths was perfect. Would highly recommend and will visit again, as it wasn’t long enough!

  • "Stunning location; close to all the Ironbridge museums and other attractions."

    Town of Shifnal offers many nice restaurants and the added bonus is the lovely pub accross the road. Beautifully appointed one level property, immaculately and tastefully decorated! Everything you need is there from soft linen and towels, fully equipped kitchen and shiny new cutlery, glasses and tableware. Can't fault it .... the best rental property I've ever stayed in!

  • "We would 100% recommend staying at the Old Piggery."

    Located in the small hamlet of Kemberton, the surrounding countryside is stunning and peaceful. Great food at the pub over the lane from the property. Only ten minutes from Ironbridge, Blists Hill Victorian village. Wroxeter Roman city nearby along with the beautiful Much Wenlock and Bridgenorth. The Old Piggery has everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

  • "Very happy with the cottage, it was set up perfectly for families or 2 couples to share."

    Bedrooms were spacious with great en-suites. Beds are huge, with the quietness of the surroundings, easy to get a good nights sleep. Living area was comfortable, light and bright. Very easy to get to some lovely towns and cities nearby. Would happily return.

  • "We’ve been in many holiday lets in the past 10 years, and The Old Piggery at Church Farm, Kemberton, is by far the very best."

    The cottage is so clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. After a full day exploring the surrounding areas, come back, a bite to eat/drink ( or nip to the pub across the road) and then fall into one of two, extremely comfortable Super King sized beds. Perfect. For the pouch in the family, there’s a fully enclosed paddock for them to run around. The owners are most friendly and helpful. We had a brilliant week.

  • "What an amazing property - we could not fault it."

    The owners have done such a good job with the conversion. Everything is done to the highest standard and the level of cleanliness was exceptional. We stayed as a couple with our very active Cocker Spaniel who loved the completely safe and enclosed paddock which could also be closed off if needed. The owners even provided a towel for the dog so we could wipe his feet before letting him back inside. The patio was lovely and enclosed and a perfect suntrap for an evening drink. The property is very close to many of the local attractions, in particular the Ironbridge Museums and Ironbridge itself - we would recommend a Pass Plus Ticket for these if visiting more than one of the museums. The Masons Arms directly opposite the property is perfect for an evening meal or drink.

  • "This barn conversion is 5 star."

    Everything you could possibly need was provided in the property. It was spotlessly clean and there is so much attention to detail making it a real home from home experience. The open plan design made it all very sociable and the two bedrooms had lovely en suite’s. The double doors open out onto a very private courtyard with access to a field with amazing views. Fantastic walks and a great pub all on the doorstep! The hosts are lovely and I would highly recommend this holiday home. My family and I had a gorgeous, relaxing week here.

  • "Awesome stay in a good location to Telford, Ludlow and all that Shropshire offers."

    The cottage itself was immaculate with 2 good size bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen, diner and lounge worthy of 5-stars! The patio garden was lovely with a secure grassed paddock for the dog. A true home away from home!!

Ironbridge Gorge is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. Today the area is far from industrial and nature has reclaimed most of the former industrial sites, leaving a unique and beautiful wooded valley. The gorge is a now a maze of footpaths, bridleways and country lanes whilst the delightful village is famous for being home of the world's first iron-built bridge, built between 1777-79. The village has a splendid variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and tea rooms and a collection of ten industrial and Victorian themed museums makes up the Ironbridge Museums Trust, including the exciting Blists Hill Victorian Village. Within driving distance are the popular historical towns of Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Ludlow, as well as the Wroxeter Roman City, the Severn valley Railway, the RAF Cosford Museum and many National Trust properties.
