  • "I loved this cottage from the moment I opened the door."

    It felt fresh, airy and clean .The kitchen was a good size ,as was the shower in the bathroom. Bedroom was extremely comfortable and had stylish decor. The garden was particularly pretty with a safe enclosed environment for my labrador..definitely dog friendly and not just allows dogs. Would like a light at front door..I loaded car up at night ..but definitely would rebook ..

  • "The only negative was a misleading photos on the website."

    Photos 31 and 32 indicate a larger garden available through a gate in the fence, this is actually the owners garden and is not accessible. Apart from that this is an excellently maintained cottage in a great location

  • "The property was lovely, clean and quiet and had the most beautifully cared for garden - a rarity in holiday lets."

    We enjoyed our stay but felt some small improvements could make a big difference: better lighting - it is quite a dark property - probably cosy in winter - but in summer we still needed all the lights on to eat our meals; also the kitchen had only the basics - there wasn't a corkscrew, egg cups, a sieve for draining rice etc. The shower was good and parking easy. We ate at the Drovers a few miles away - which was good. Glen Clova has some fabulous walks!

  • "We had a lovely stay at this cottage and really enjoyed our time there."

    People were friendly and the town was lovely too. A very well kept area. The cottage garden was great. We have a small dog and he enjoyed his stay too as the garden was enclosed so no worries there. Would highly recommend this cottage and area.

  • "What can I say about this beautiful cottage in Kirriemuir?"

    It is fabulous. The cottage is gorgeous and all rooms tastefully decorated to high standard. Everything you need is in the cottage. Fully equipped kitchen, plenty of space. The cottage is much bigger than it looks. 2 beautiful bedrooms. Bathroom and shower. lovely big hallway. Front and back door but we used back door as it has a lovely porch to leave all the shoes and wipe the dogs feet when coming back from a walk. Also it was so thoughtful the owners left a bottle of prosecco which is a lovely kind touch. Living room has everything you need tv, wifi, games, books. The owners really have thought of everything and we will be excited to return to this beautiful cottage. The amazing garden to the rear is stunning with lovely seating areas to sit out and admire the garden and a firepit if you wishes to sit out at night under the stars. I absolutely felt so at home especially with this beautiful garden as that is something I miss if I go on a break. This cottage is perfect and I don't say that lightly. Lovely owners close by so accommodating. This cottage really is perfect. We loved it. Thank you owners for thinking of everything. Can't wait to come back.

  • "I thought it was a very nicely modernised single-storey house."

    It was warm which was nice in a chilly November. It was clean. It was quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped. The shower was fine. The parking, though on street, was right outside the front door and because the neighbouring houses have off-street parking, there were hardly any other cars parked nearby. I never used the back garden but I'd imagine, when it was warmer, it would be nice to sit in. I felt happy coming back to this cosy holiday let.

  • "Fantastic location especially for dog owners, with easy access to woodland walks, quiet environment and enclosed rear garden."

    Property has most of what you might need, with a few personal notes, comfy beds reclining coach powerful shower ample storage night lights garden furniture and night lights and WiFi that works. Would have liked a dish drainer and wee shelf or cupboard in bathroom to place items on rather than sink or window sill but only my preference. Access to many outdoor activities too many to mention and town has most of what you might need, with Forfar 13 minutes drive/bus journey with most major shops. Bus service available directly outside the property(don't fear l saw no one queueing) with Stagecoach fast and not too expensive).

    A lovely place to stay in a quiet street, but within walking distance to the local bar and the town. We used the wee cottage as a base to explore the wider area and then return to a peaceful quiet evening while planning our next day's adventure. Thank you for the wonderful stay

  • "The cottage was beautifully presented and was very clean & comfortable."

    There is a lovely secluded garden to the back that is ideal for catching the sun in both the morning & afternoon and is perfect to securely let the dog out. The cottage was right on the edge of Kirriemuir with some peaceful forest walks very close by and is a few minutes drive from the centre of town. We had a lovely week there and hope to return soon so we can explore the area further.

The Cottage is a lovely, single-storey home is located in the heart of Kirriemuir, Angus.

Upon entering this single-storey dwelling, you will be greeted by two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a twin, both offering a tranquil space to rest after a day of exploration, while the shower room offers space to get ready for the day of adventures ahead.

The sociable hub of the home is the snug living/dining room, where you can sink into the sofa and enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV, warmed by the glow of the electric fire, and toast to a magical holiday around the dining table.

Kirriemuir is a lovely red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, regarded as the gateway to the Angus Glens, which offer some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscape. The town is home to the birthplace of novelist JM Barrie, creator of the much-loved children's character Peter Pan and the house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust for Scotland. A statue of Peter Pan can be found in the town. Kirriemuir also offers Glamis Castle and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle, while the Angus Glens offer great hill walking and climbing. With a fine variety of shops, hotels and pubs in the town and surrounding area, there is something here to suit all tastes.
