The property

Millmoss Cottage is a welcoming single-storey cottage set on the outskirts of Turriff, Aberdeenshire.

Offering open-plan living, a woodburning hot tub and generous enclosed gardens, making it a great choice for families and friends looking to spend time together in this part of the county.

Follow a single-track approach that leads you towards the cottage, where a gravelled parking area awaits at the front.

Take in the first impressions as potted plants frame the entrance and a large enclosed lawn stretches out before you, complete with a picnic bench that invites you to pause with a morning coffee or settle in with an evening drink.

A short set of steps guides you up to the front door, where you step into an entrance vestibule and begin your stay.

Continue through into the open-plan living space, where light fills the room and enhances the sense of space.

In the kitchen, integrated appliances are set neatly beneath wooden worktops, offering everything you need to prepare meals with ease, whether cooking at the central island or bringing dishes together for the table.

From here, drift into the sitting area, where you can sink into the sofas or armchair and switch on the large wall-mounted TV, creating an easy rhythm between cooking, dining and unwinding as the day progresses.

A separate utility space keeps things practical during your stay, giving you a dedicated spot to take care of laundry and storage, allowing the main living area to remain open and uncluttered.

Nearby, two twin bedrooms offer flexible sleeping arrangements, one with fitted mirrored storage that reflects the natural light and brightens the space, and another with a wardrobe ready for unpacking.

The main shower room is designed in a wet room style, offering a spacious setting to begin your day, where underfloor heating adds a gentle warmth beneath your feet after stepping out of the shower.

Continue through to the master bedroom, where a king-size bed awaits alongside fitted wardrobes for longer stays.

Sliding patio doors open directly onto the garden, giving you the option to step outside first thing in the morning or as the evening settles in.

An en-suite shower room completes the space, where underfloor heating continues to bring added comfort to your daily routine.

Step back outside to make the most of the grounds, where the enclosed lawn at the front provides space to spread out, while the private rear garden draws you in at the end of the day.

Settle into the woodburning hot tub as the light begins to fade, letting the warmth of the water and the glow of the logs round off your evening.

A pleasant walk brings you into Turriff, a well-kept town with a good range of shops and places to eat, making it easy to pick up essentials or enjoy a meal out.

Spend time exploring the riverside paths at The Haughs, visit the Heritage Centre to learn more about the area, or experience events at the town’s showground.

Head towards Banff to discover Duff House and its collections, take in the sweeping views across Banff Bay, or explore the town’s museum.

Within easy reach, Aberdeen offers a change of pace, where you can explore the Maritime Museum, wander through the planting and glasshouses of Duthie Park, or take in the character and architecture of Old Aberdeen.

Millmoss Cottage in Turriff offers an inviting base for enjoying Aberdeenshire at your own pace.
