“The house was excellent and we enjoyed our week but we would like to draw your attention to two areas.”

For us the rear garden was not adequately described. Neither the photos or description showed the raised nature of this properly. We have a blind spaniel that is quite old and we had thought it would be nice for her to roam about the rear garden without her lead but this was not possible due to the high wall and steps. This had been a key consideration in our choice of the property. Secondly it may be appropriate to alert prospective customers about the glass doors to the lounge and kitchen ...

Secondly it may be appropriate to alert prospective customers about the glass doors to the lounge and kitchen which do not appear to be toughened. This did not affect us in any way but may be a concern to people with younger children if indeed they are not toughened. These comments are aimed at providing a better description of the property rather than any criticism of the comfort and overall high standard of the accommodation which are a credit to its owners. The situation at the end of the cul de sac also ensured a quiet and private stay.

Thank you for your feedback about your recent stay at Salty Puffin. We are glad that you enjoyed your week and found the property comfortable. I appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. I have asked for the description of the garden to be amended to point out that it is raised and accessed by four steps. I would also like to reassure yourselves and other customers that the glass doors and panels in the property are re-inforced with a specialised safety covering. Thank you for your lovely comments and constructive feedback. - Sykes owner relations

The property

This pleasant bungalow is situated on the outskirts of Benllech, in a cosy cul-de-sac, conveniently placed for access to the beach and local amenities.

Perfect for couples or a small family, this cottage has been lovingly designed throughout with pure attention to detail, creating a homely setting for some well-earned relaxation.

A small porch welcomes you inside, continuing over to a light, airy lounge which features three comfortable sofas, a warming fire and views of the secluded garden to keep you company.

Follow the lovely hallway with its seaside accessories towards the two beautiful bedrooms, both neatly styled and finished with decorative pieces.

One room faces the front of the property, whilst the second looks out over the wonderful patio area to the rear.

The family bathroom is well-appointed, and is presented as an all-white suite, housing a bath with an overhead shower.

Finally, the characterful dining area includes seating for six people, and the country cottage kitchen is ideal for preparing those home-cooked meals. With patio doors opening up to the enclosed garden, you can wander outside at your own leisure and enjoy a refreshing drink of your choice under the sun.

Benllech is a traditional seaside village with a Blue Flag beach, as well as a fine selection of cafes, bars and restaurants.

Just a couple of miles away, Red Wharf Bay is famous for its sailing community, beachfront restaurant and the popular Ship Inn, where a warm welcome is guaranteed.

Further afield, discover the town of Beaumaris with its superb castle, whilst back on the mainland, Caernarfon, Llandudno and the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park all promise a memorable adventure.
