  • "Lovely house, which was immaculate on arrival."

The jam and wine welcome pack was a lovely touch. Well equipped kitchen, which we appreciated as we enjoy cooking when away. Beds very comfortable. The hot tub was fab!!. Only negative we found was the outside, it could have done with some tidying, cleaning and maintenance. The hot tub area was drab, lawn and bushes needed cutting and the pathways were cracked and uneven. The waste water pipe from the kitchen, leaked over the path in places. This did not spoil our stay though, just thought the owner needed to be aware.

.beds were a bit firm for us …but that is personal choice …great for large family ..only thing it needs attention to detail.. decorating was slap dash .

I would only think it needs a downstairs toilet would be a benefit.

  • "This is a lovely cottage; although hardly 'rural', being only about 100 yds (due to angle of drive) from the main road."

Thankfully, too cold to have any windows open. Very cosy and comfortable, with everything you could need - although the bath towels are very small (child sized). The cottage is not suitable for 8 people, having only upstairs facilities and one of those being a small en suite. Provision of furniture for 8 makes the living area cramped. Stairs very steep - not recommended for anyone old or infirm. Good parking area. The cottage is good for visiting places; but we never did find a dog walk from the cottage, or the walk to the 0.6 miles beach. The lane next to the house is (naturally, being a farm driveway) quite busy with cars and large machinery. But very peaceful at night. PS - new cork screw needed!

The hot tub was a first for us, and we loved it! Nice big garden, which our dog really enjoyed. We accidentally left a load of dog treats behind, so some doggy visitor is going to be very lucky indeed!

  • "Cottage was beautiful."

Location was great, with lovely views but a car is needed to get about. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and piping hot water were all the plus points. The lounge area was a little cramped for 7 of us but we managed. There was no fire wood provided, only in winter, this was March ad it was 7 degrees. Had to go and hunt down fire wood every day as it was a necessity. We would have brought it with us, if this had been advertised. The walls around the garden are quite low, our dogs could not be left unattended, as they could easily have scsled them. There is barbed wire on the top of one side but there are also sheep adjacent to it. The hot tub filter seems broken, there was a lit of scum on the top of it after the first night and there was no floater or cleaning agent either, so by the third night it was out of action which was a real disappointment. The area itself is veautiful, we explored as much as we could in 3 days and loved it. Cemaes bay, Trearrdur Bay and Llanddona Beach, all stunning.

It has a child and dog safe garden. All your basic products are provided and a lovely bottle of wine was waiting for us when we arrived. Comfortable beds, spotless bedding. Looking forward to staying again in the near future.

  • "A lovely cottage with stunning views which can be enjoyed from the house and the garden."

A bbq in the garden area would be a perfect addition for warmer evenings. A visit from the owner in the first couple of days just to say hello, welcoming and give valuable local knowledge on the rural and coastal areas would have been much appreciated, apparently the owner visits twice a day to check the hot tub for signs of bad behaviour (as stated in the house manual) so why not engage with the visitors?. The owner has erected a wooden roof over the hot tub, however when it rains it pours through the wood as there’s no felt or sealant on it resulting in a cold shower from above!

Venture outside and uncover a spacious garden, complete with lawn and furniture set, whilst there is also a hot tub from which can enjoy lazy soaks whilst taking in the country setting.

Just over half a mile away lies Traeth Porth Wen Beach, a fascinating hidden cove that is reached by a steep descent but offers an insight into the Victorian brickworks built during WW2.

Further beach delights can be found along the coast including Traeth Mawr Big Beach, Porth Padrig and Traeth Porth Wen Beach, three splendid locations to relax, paddle the shores or try your hand at a range of watersports!

Wander along the Anglesey AONB, a walker’s paradise where you can follow the beautiful coastline and appreciate this rugged Isle.
