  • "Gull Cottage is absolutely beautiful."

Such care and attention to detail has gone into its renovation (the photos really don’t do it justice). The hosts, Andy and Julie, are thoughtful and generous (lots of basics provided, including a good supply of wood for the fire) and we were made to feel very welcome. The cottage is in a great location with easy access to some of the best coastline on the island. If you don’t book this cottage then you’re missing a treat!

  • "Gull Cottage was a delightful surprise for us."

The location was away from busy parts of the island but near enough to reach shops, restaurants and other attractions as well as the beautiful coastline. We loved the unusual layout of the cottage and were glad of the use of the wood burning stove which so warmed the living areas on chilly nights. It is a pity we could not take advantage of the splendid outdoor facilities , because of the time of the year, but would certainly come back in the warmer months.

  • "Pillows were a little old needed updating."

The garden was lovely we used it a lot . Could not use BBQ it was old and rusty.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to feedback your feelings and we’re sorry you weren’t completely satisfied. I’m sorry that the pillows were not to your liking but they are definitely not old. Everything is changed throughout the season. We try and keep the BBQ covered and out of the elements but this summer has been a wash out. The outer casing is showing signs of wear and tear but the grill and plates are safe to use when oiled and have had the burners under them. I have however noted your concerns as we are always looking to improve and want everyone to have a 100% stay. Thank you again for your feedback. Property Owner

Unfortunately we had to cut are stay short and there was an unforeseen problem with the electrics but the owner was very quick to respond and couldn't have been more helpful . Thankyou so very much ,Avril

Thank you Avril, and we’re so sorry about the power outage. Thankfully all sorted now and all down to a cheeky spider in the plug! We do hope you’ll be able to stay again soon. Julie and Andy Property Owner

  • "Very nice property with lots of quirky touches."

Beautiful garden although not the time of year to take advantage of it unfortunately. Only thing I would point out is that the bathroom sink is very deep and sits on top of work surface. For me at 5ft 3 it was too high and I had to stand on a stool in order to be able to wash. Aside from that it’s a lovely cottage which had been lovingly restored.

Thank you for the lovely feedback, I agree the sink is a bit too high! I too am only 5’3” so I tend to jump in the shower. My husband is 6’2” so didn’t realise- ha! It’s on the list to change. Property Owner

  • "Weather very wet and windy but we expected that, given it was November!"

Cottage warm and cosy with most things that we needed, though serving tongs in the kitchen would be a good idea. Only real downside was lack of shower mats in both bathrooms. Showers VERY slippery, ( I actually went a cropper and badly cut my arm.) Informed the owners so hopefully they will have resolved this. Some great eateries for lunch. The Oyster Catcher, a 10 minute drive away and Sea Shanty in Trearddur Bay. Highly recommend them both. Will definitely be returning.

Thank you for your feedback and the note about the showers is duly noted. We've not had this issue before but we’re sorry you hurt yourself, we’ve now supplied shower mats as per your suggestion. We hope it didn’t spoil your stay. Property Owner

nice pub and cafe in Aberffraw with a walk along the river which opens onto a magnificent bay. Would also recomend a visit to jaspels cider there.

The secluded garden was lovely, with pots of beautiful red geraniums and plenty of different seating areas which allowed us to sit either in or out of the sun at various times of day. Aberffraw beach is a short hop away and with free parking what more could you want. Would definitely recommend.
