  • "A wonderful house away from hustle and bustle with great space for children to play safely inside and out."

We were a large family group of three generations. Very well equipped in the kitchen for a large group, we wanted for nothing. Everyone enjoyed the lovely and relaxing, twice rearranged celebration of three lockdown big birthdays. We will definitely visit again.

  • "A great place to explore Anglesey and have some seclusion and peace."

Good size for a large party. Comfortable and clean. Not ideal if you want a beach or pub on your doorstep but great for exploring. Could do with a few homely additions like some curtains in the living room and a picture or two. Very friendly hosts. Overall was fab.

You could do with light sensors at the front when you come back and its dark, the radiators did not get hot in in the downstairs twin bedroom it was very cold in there and there was not alot of hot water for showers, you had to put the emersion heater on and wait, their were 6 adults and 4 kids,we would all go back again.

The house is huge!!! Perfect for 12 of us , spacious, clean, cosy especially the first floor lounge with wood burner ! Great location secluded from main towns but less than 10mims drive to valley and treaddur 10/10 would definitely recommend and hosts were brilliant with communication etc Mike A

  • "Ian and Cathy's property is excellent, so much so that our group have recently returned from our second stay there."

It comfortably sleeps 10/12 people, and the communal areas such as the lounge, kitchen/diner and garden are all large enough for the entire group. The property and facilities are modern, and it is cleaned to a very high standard. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

What a lovely home Cathy and Ian Bushell have built. The home is lovely and spacious with a great open garden. If we had any issues Cathy and Ian were extremely helpful in sorting them out for us at the drop of an email. I would definitely recommend this property. If there was a draw back it just needed mirrors in the bedrooms which we mentioned to them and they took this on board.

  • "We had a lovely long weekend at this fantastic property."

There was a group of 10 of us and we all had plenty of room. The house is great for group gatherings (when we’re all allowed again!) and the large kitchen is a real communal hub. The house is well appointed and we all made use of the garden and the indoor table tennis table. There was also plenty of parking space for our 7 cars. The house was on a lovely part of Anglesey, in a very peaceful location. It was ideal for walking and exploring locally as well as only being 20 mins from the racing circuit (our reason for visiting). We can’t wait to return to the island, it’s a really lovely place to visit. We’d also definitely consider booking the house again. Big thanks to the owners for the clear information and frequent communication.

  • "The house and grounds were excellent, a couple of niggles, bi folding doors did not close correctly and the shower control in the ground floor bedroom did not seem to operate between hot and cold."

Other than the above the house was well equipped and comfortable. We found it very clean and Alison was very helpful as was her husband. Thanks for a great few days away.

  • "Great house for a large group gathering, from grandparents to grandchildren we had great time."

You do need transport but it provides a good base to get out each day, We visited Snowdonia, Llandudnao, Anglesey beaches and had plenty of internal and external space to play at the house. A knife sharpener would have been useful, we managed without though.

  • "The hot water system requires bleeding, there was loud noises from the pipes whenever we turned on the hot water tap."

In the children’s west facing rooms the blinds need to be darker. Other than these minor irritations the house was fine. I would give it 9.5 out of 10 and would return.

  • "This is a beautiful house and we really enjoyed our stay and we had wonderful weather You really do need to have a car as the house is quite remote but that is also the charm of the place."

The beach was about 3 miles away My family and I stayed there for an Easter break and to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday My mum is disabled so the down stairs bedroom was an asset however the main lounge was upstairs so she struggled on the first night to get up there so we all just stayed downstairs in the kitchen, games room, snug and garden, for most nights which was very comfortable with comfy chairs We couldn’t find any sharp knives for cutting bread and the roast or utensils e.g ladle, spatcheler for eggs but we managed and it wasn’t really a deal breaker The beds were comfortable and the house was immaculate The owners allowed us to hire a hot tub too which was fab I would definitely recommend The Chapel House it’s an amazing house in a quaint little village The owners were down for the weekend too and were next door in the old school house. they were so lovely and helpful but didn’t encroach on our stay The table tennis was loads of fun and a great asset to the house There are 4 bathrooms in the house so never struggled in that department Overall a fantastic holiday away in the countryside with beaches and restaurants close by

The kitchen was great and provide a space for everyone to meet , eat and chat, as many did different things during the day. The property was well designed and had some great views . If you like a rural location, lots of space and access to some great beaches by car -this fits the bill. Contact with the owners was easy as we communicated by e-mail before and after.I suggest you enjoy this property for a family gathering and a place to meet with friends. The upper floor lounge is great for chilling with a glass of wine and looking out from the balcony.

It was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. The location was gorgeous. The photos on the website do not do the place justice. It was ideal for our large family gathering. And perfect for our dogs. It is a credit to the owners and people whom look after the cottage. Would have no hestication in recommending this cottage to anyone. We had a lovely break making lots of family memories

  • "We had a fabulous holiday and the cottage was amazing, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean."

Location wise there was not a lot within walking distance but most places accessible within 30 minutes drive and it did not affect our stay. My only constructive feedback would be that as there were 12 adults in the cottage, there were not enough seats round the dining table (only sat 10 ) and in the lounge it could have done with another sofa as we had to bring chairs in from the bedrooms. There were plenty of sofas in the games room so would suggest moving one of them upstairs to the lounge. Other than that we had a fabulous weekend and would love to return.

It is in a villge but is remote - which was what we expected. You need a car get around but there is plenty of off road parking. More than enough pubs/takeaways within 2.5 to 5 miles. Plenty of space for a big group. Really liked the house.

The photographs don't do it justice! It is only a short drive from Holyhead and Treaddur Bay so great for trips out. The owners were very accommodating. The only thing I would say which is NOT a criticism is that it would have been nice to know about the building works next door as the builders were parked on the property car park when we arrived but this did not bother us. Chapel House provided everything we needed and more for a very special stay.
