  • "In the listing it says dog friendly but should read dog tolerant, it was only when we read the welcome pack that we saw that dogs are not allowed on the bed or any of the furniture, At home our dog sleeps in her little bed on our bed so it was really hard to keep her off the furniture and because of the wind howling for most of our stay she was scared so kept jumping on furniture next to us."

On the day we were due to leave we tried using the hoover but it wasn’t holding the charge. It also said a selection of games and a DVD player was available but there was only one game and no DVD player.Other than these minor complaints the Lodge itself was lovely to stay in.

  • "The property was really nice."

The only issues we had is there needs to be bunk beds in the one bedroom instead of two singles a it there is no space whatsoever to move as the two single beds are pushed together. The other issue is in the main bedroom when it is windy there is a horrible vibrating noise which needs to be investigated as this kept us awake on many nights due to the strong wind

I’m sorry to hear The Lodge’s sleeping arrangements did not meet your expectations. As shown in the pictures there are two single beds with a small walkway between both beds big enough in order to get into bed and a wardrobe (not visible in the picture). We appreciate your suggestion of bunk beds but unfortunately this wouldn’t work due to the ceiling height. Regarding the issue of noise in the master bedroom, it’s unfortunate you didn’t get in touch with ourselves/Sykes during your 9 nights stay and given us the opportunity to investigate/resolve the vibrating noise as despite it being exceptionally stormy with excessive high winds we would of tried our best to resolve this problem. • "A great find and good location."

Really enjoyed staying at the lodge, didn't want to leave. The kitchen was well equipped, and the beds were comfortable. Our dogs loved the enclosed grass area. And the patio area was great. Only minor suggestions to improve (but these are minor and didn't stop us enjoying the stay) would be a tea towel for the kitchen, hooks for coats in the entrance porch and extra plates, cups so families only have to wash up once a day

  • "The lodge was located in an excellent position with wonderful views from the living room, indoor facilities excellent for a short stay."

Living areas and bedrooms comfy. Great place to take the dogs and local walks near by and in the grounds. (the dogs loved their break) The only downside was the welcome pack was very basic, cleaning could have been a little better, there were spiders webs in areas and a sock down the side of one of the beds. We do appreciate that we did book this last minute. The owners were welcoming and very pleasant. Would happily return to the lodge and would recommend it. The 2nd bedroom is quite small, with two single beds so it would suit a couple with 1 child or two younger children, or 4 Adults if you don't mind the close space. Living area is large, cosy and lots of windows to take in the views. If you do visit go to to the village of Benllech for all your shopping, and a visit to the Golden Fry Chippy and Benllech Tandoori Restaurant. There is a Co-op in Amlwch close to the lodge for a quick shop if needed. Enjoy your stay.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. As you can see from previous revews we do pride our selves on cleanliness therefore i am very sorry it was not up to standard on this occasion. Our welcome pack includes milk for the fridge, tea, coffee, sugar, welsh cakes and Haribo sweets. We do provide a suggestion/notes page in the back on the welcome book and appreciate all suggestions. Please feel free to get in touch to let us know what would have made the welcome pack better for your family. We hope to welcome you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "First the negatives, only one, and that was the weather."

In the week we were there we grew webbed feet but after all this is North Wales and it needs to rain to keep we English in water for our coffee and tea. For this reason the owners take the credit for having a lovely, if compact, comfortable place to stay. The WiFi didn’t initially work but this was rectified as quick as possible so at least with all the rain I was as happy as a pig in the proverbial. The bed was really comfortable, the placed warmed up so quick and there was everything there that we needed and the owners even put us up a decorated Christmas Tree with Prosecco, milk, Welsh cakes etc. It would be appreciated though if we go again they could order better weather :0) There is a well stocked Asda at Llangefni, about eight miles away and close to Asda is a nature reserve called The Dingle. There is a carpark and the walk isn’t strenuous especially the boardwalk and there’s a good chance of seeing red squirrels. We were lucky and saw red as well as a black one. This made up for the awful weather. We would certainly like to return only when the weather warms up. I don’t think anyone will be disappointed with this property.

  • "This lodge was deceptively large inside with a great size lounge, a decent kitchen area, good size shower room and double bedroom, as well as a fantastic size outside patio area with furniture (which unfortunately due to poor weather we didn't get to make use of) It was also incredibly well kitted out with with kitchen utensils, with chopping boards, knives, pot and pans, glasses even foil and tea towels etc."

Infact everytime i thought it looks like they hadn't got something i then found they had. The heating was amazing and the whole unit heated up in super quick time, including the cozy electric fire in the lounge area. The shower pressure and water temperature was fantastic and the beds were quite comfortable to give a decent nights sleep, however when the really high winds picked up you certainly heard that in the main bedroom. We took our two dogs and there was plenty of space for all of us in the lounge of an evening and there was even a fantastic size utilty room including an additional fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer and even a dishwasher which was brilliant for a unit of this size. The outside fenced area was brilliant for the dogs as well for those last thing at night toilet trips before bed. We went out and about each day and found it a great location to go adventuring from around the island, but also within a quick drive to get to a genral store and great fish and chip shop near by. All in all little to nothing to complain about and having spoken to one of the owners she was really nice to deal with as well. So we would definately be happy to make a return visit.

We only went for 3 days so did not use all the washing machine and dryer facilities but everything you could need was provided, nice welcome pack with welsh cakes and milk would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

  • "A Home Away From Home."

What a beautiful place. The lodge was exactly what we needed, had a cosy feel that made us feel right at home. My eldest said it was our second home and she didn't want to leave. The shower was perfect, can fill the base to make a small bath which was so handy for the baby, she loved it. We took our dog and there was so much to do in the area that we didn't feel we missed out on a thing. Although a mini break was just what we needed, 2 nights just didn't seem long enough. The family who own the lodge are so lovely and have really done themselves proud. We can't wait to come back and next time it will be for a week. Really looking forward to visiting again. Anyone looking for a little get away, I highly recommend The Lodge - you won't be disappointed!
