The property

With views of Port Appin's bay in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, is Lurach, a semi-detached holiday home with a contemporary and homely décor.

Perfect for a small family, a couple, or even friends sharing, this cottage is a fabulous retreat for a quintessentially Scottish holiday.

Step into the amply-equipped kitchen and pop the kettle on while you ponder over dinner plans and the week's itinerary.

From here, gather at the dining table and toast to a wonderful staycation, before making your way through to the sitting room, furnished with caramel leather sofas and a toasty woodburning stove to snuggle up in front of while you unwind for the evening.

Finishing off the ground floor is a sleek shower room, while another bathroom can be found on the first floor, giving you the option for a long soak after a day of walking or cycling.

When it's time to rest, choose from a double or a twin room, each with a TV for lazy mornings, a neutral décor, and plenty of storage to unpack your belongings into.

Outside, there is a quaint decking area boasting views over a field and the nearby bay, the perfect spot for your morning coffee in the fresh air.

Begin your tour with a leisurely stroll down to the Port Appin centre, which is home to a plethora of attractive art boutiques, a practical grocery stocked with all household supplies, and two friendly local pubs where you can have a wonderful hot meal washed down with a cool pint of ale.

Cross the gorgeous Loch Linnhe to the Isle of Lismore, which is home to charming historical monuments like Achanduin Castle and Castle Coeffin or take a scenic car ride across to Fort William, where you can drink up local history at the West Highland Museum and the magnificent Saint Andrew's Church.

Hike up the renowned Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the British Isles, or enjoy a more leisurely stroll through the Highland Titles Nature Reserve.

Whatever the weather, bring your loved ones to enjoy a stay at Lurach.
