"This holiday let was an absolute find!"

Beautiful location in the walled garden on the estate. The owners had thought of everything. The instructions for arrival were spot on and we really appreciated the wheelbarrow to carry bags down to the accommodation (it wasn't that far but a lovely thought). The bed was super comfortable and there was plenty of room to store bags. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom had a shower that was really impressive for a holiday let. If you want a hideaway - within easy reach of Wrexham and north Wales and the Cheshire boarder - don't hesitate. The owners and estate manager (Richard) were really responsive when the electricity went out (nothing to do with the property - just unlucky for us) and went over and above to keep us informed with updates. There are beautiful walks around the estate and the outside space around the hut (with fire pit and patio) were very welcome in the lovely weather. The only thing we would have changed would have been comfier chairs to sit on of an evening within the hut.

Thanks so much for your lovely review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in the hut and made the most of the estate and surrounding walks. So sorry Scottish power had to turn the local area electricity off for a bit but very glad it didn’t impact too badly for you. We will have a think about different chairs for the inside. Many thanks for your comments Philippa Property Owner

Wrexham (Wrecsam) is a fabulous city in North Wales which boasts a fantastic location between the Welsh mountains and the lower Dee Valley and is a short drive from the border and the historic city of Chester. The city gained its status as part of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Civic Honours in 2022 and was made Wales’ seventh city. It has a vibrant history dating all the way back to 8000 to 4300 BC which is woven throughout the city, including a collection of Iron Age forts, two Bronze Age burial mounds. The 16th-century, Grade I listed, St Giles’ Church stands proudly in the city centre and is recognised as one of the finest examples of ecclesiastical architecture in Wales; its steeple is even replicated at America’s Yale College campus. Today the city houses the Wrexham County Borough Museum, Xplore! Science Discovery Centre and the impressive and lavish, 18th-century Erddig, a National Trust site which benefits from thorough tours through its decadent halls and the ornate 12,000-acre garden. As of 2022, the city was the feature of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, a docuseries showcasing the journey of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchasing and improving the city’s football club. For a charming experience, the community-focused, Tŷ Pawb offers a unique collection of food stalls and shops.
