    .only absolutely brilliant loved every minute and Stanley so helpfull and everything u need on your doorstep will be going back soon..done a lot of stay cations in this price bracket and this is by far the best lodge..quiet, secure, private and the view is brilliant.Thankyou yet again Stanley and moss..

  • "Lovely secluded lodge, very well presented, owner available for any queries or problems."

    However, additional items in the kitchen would be useful. Extra chopping board, more cutlery, bin bags. Plus no information pack was provided & no wifi code even though there was guest wifi available. Just little niggles.

    Had a lovely week , the cabin itself was very good very clean and comfortable, all fenced off so the dogs can not escape ,hot tub was excellent Stanley the owner came and serviced it everyday and made sure all was ok lovely man and very friendly surrounding area was great food in local pubs was great visited Wrexham and Ellesmere both very good

  • "A lovely cabin in fantastic surroundings."

    Stanley is great and helped when we’d left some things there, which we massively appreciated. The accommodation has some real positives: hot tub, ability to sleep 4, views, homeliness. But some things need attention: wobbly toilet seat and sink tap, a real lack of cutlery plus other kitchen utensils, lack of towels, the BBQ didn’t work and the kitchen rug looks dirty. These things didn’t affect our stay as it was short, but they would start to impact someone’s stay for longer. We would return due to the location, nearby walks for the dog and short distances to local amenities.

  • "The view is a lovely place to stay."

    Peaceful setting and lovely views! The View has everything you need and is very comfortable. The owner was friendly and welcoming and on the other end of the phone for any query which were sorted quickly. The hot tub is a great addition and it’s so peaceful sitting outside under the stars.

  • "A beautiful lodge, with an amazing view."

    The property was as described and the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in, in all our breaks. Stanley was a great guy, came every day to service the hot tub and we had some great chats. Just 2 recommendations, a freezer and the side blocked off to avoid small dogs getting out, but neither of these spoilt our stay. Would book again in the future.

  • "Put simply it was our 2nd stay, Absolutely Loved it again, A personal choice this time to take our own Ice maker (we love ice in our drinks) but it made it an even better stay."

    .. maybe a mini freezer would top it off there but I don't think we'd leave if we got too comfy there

  • "Had a lovely stay, Stanley was a lovely guy, helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, would happily recommend and will return The view from the accommodation is beautiful, all done to a great standard and just as described."

    Location is fabulous for trips out in the area with a great pub for dinners few minute drive away. Plenty of room for 2 of us and 2 dogs - convenient walk along the old railway line at the end of the properties drive - perfect.

  • "What a gorgeous place!"

    We stayed at The View this past weekend and we had such a lovely weekend! The cabin is beautifully decorated, was very clean and has the most amazing view that I could have just sat and stared at all day! Looking over the Welsh hills from the hottub was an added bonus! Every little detail was thought of by the owners and they even left a welcome package for us on our arrival, so we had milk, something for breakfast and for a cuppa, snacks and even some treats for the dog (which she greatly appreciated)

With countryside views, a bubbling hot tub, and ample amenities, this pet-friendly property welcomes a couple and their four-legged companions to explore the countryside of Wrexham.

Park up beside the property and be welcomed into a wonderful, wooden lodge, offering views across the local countryside and a contemporary kitchen/diner, ideal for cooking and enjoying a romantic meal for two.

Three steps take you to a tasteful sitting room where you can recline for the evening, and when night draws in, guests can freshen up in the sleek shower room before cosying up into the double bedroom.

Outside, soak in the fresh air and countryside views as you recline in the hot tub, easing the aches from your muscles after a long day of watersports at the beach.

Here you can also while away sunny afternoons beside the fire pit, or enjoy cooking up a storm on the barbecue.

Bangor-on-dee Retreats

Bangor-on-Dee Retreats are a group of three wonderful, contemporary abodes settled into the countryside outskirts of Bangor-on-Dee. With off-road parking, pet-friendly accommodation, and close-by amenities and attractions, this group allows friends, families, and couples a tranquil base from which to explore Wrexham. Park off-road in the spaces provided and choose between a spacious home, and two contemporary lodges, each with light and airy living spaces for guests to enjoy. Each property is tastefully outfitted and offers stylish bedrooms, and sleek shower rooms and/or bathrooms. Each property also offers fantastic outdoor spaces, each one with furniture and the added indulgence of a bubbling hot tub. Bangor-on-Dee is a lovely village with a convenience store for all of your essentials, and a local pub. Head over toe Wrexham, where there are more amenities and eateries, as well as a selection of parks to visit, with options including Moss Valley Country Park and Bellevue Park. From here, head over to Llangollen where you will find a museum, or Chirk where you can visit the impressive Chirk Castle. Clwydian Range & Dee Valley National Landscape offers plenty of coutryside walks, with options for guests to check out the scenery and wildlife. Chester is within reach, and here you will find quaint shops, riverside walks, Roman walls, and the well-known Chester Zoo. For a day at the seaside head over to Talacre or Prestatyn.

Bangor-on-Dee is a village in the borough of Wrexham in Wales, situated on the banks of the River Dee. Bangor-on-Dee offers a perfect base from which to explore North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire. The village is home to a number of shops and local pubs. Bangor-on-Dee is famous for its renowned racecourse which hosts many exciting jump racing fixtures in a year on the banks of the River Dee. Nearby Overton-on-Dee is a charming village which boasts a fine collection of 18th century buildings, a small selection of local shops, a great restaurant and a traditional pub. Ellesmere is easily accessible and has a broad variety of attractive buildings as well as offering a fine selection of shops and no less than nine pubs in addition to an annual beer festival to enjoy. Nearby Wrexham and Chester are popular tourist destinations with many links to history as well as a full range of shops and pubs.
