  • "Overall a great stay."

A warm welcome from the team and nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely return in the future. Very private and secure location. Our only suggestion would be to recommend some mood lighting in living area as ceiling lights are a bit too bright. And possibly a larger pan for boiling pasta.

  • "This is a lovingly-decorated and fantastically well-equipped lodge in the Cheshire countryside."

On arrival, we were warmly and efficiently welcomed, and able to settle into the lodge in no time at all. The lodge has everything you need and was an immediate home-away-from-home. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained throughout. Not a speck of dust to be found! The hot tub was a lovely feature, and we took many opportunities to enjoy that - both in the morning sunshine and for a relaxing evening dip. Again, well maintained. We were delighted to see a card showing local attractions, restaurants, etc., which we thought was a lovely touch. We would recommend adding a couple (if this is updated anytime), that we also visited during our time in the area: Erddig Hall (a beautiful National Trust property about 45 mins away); Wrexham (if you're fans of the 'Welcome to Wrexham' show and want to drop into The Turf, the pub on the stadium grounds); Snugbury's ice cream shop (about 10 mins away, and on the way to/from Chester); Knowsley Safari Park (about 50 mins away) There are two *tiny* points that would have made our stay totally perfect. The main bedroom bed has a soft mattress, so was not to our preference - but we recognise that it is hard to suit all guests on that front. One of the toilet seats is loose so needs tightening. Other than that, we had a delightful stay and would recommend this lodge/touring park to anyone looking for a lovely break in a beautiful part of the country. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Lovely stay at Woodmans Lodge."

Great facilities and lots of room in the properties so able to spend the whole weekend there without feeling on top of on another! Hope to come back again one day.

  • "Provision of a Fan would be appropriate during hot spells, building very warm."

  • "We loved our stay here!"

The lodge is deceptively spacious we couldn’t believe how much room there was, perfect for 2 adults, 2 young children plus a baby! It felt cosy and homely, lovely decor too… the photos don’t do it justice! The hot tub was wonderful as was the large garden area. Perfect location, quiet but close to the town. Our only area to improve if we had to give one, is that the lodge is probably in need of a deeper clean maybe after the busy summer season, some mould in the bathroom & crumbs in the cupboards, but nothing major and we would return tomorrow if we could. The owner was lovely too! Thanks for a great stay! Hopefully see you again next summer!

  • "A most comfortable and relaxing break at a well-maintained property."

We appreciated the hot tub and parking for 2 cars. Owners of the site were present and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Out in the countryside but very close to Nantwich for restaurants/shopping.
