  • "The property is up a narrow unadopted track, and is easy to reach and park in the designated place, which is level and sizeable."

The house itself is between a similar property undergoing sympathetic renovation by the owners of Green bank, who occupy the house on the other end of Greenbank ( 3 properties in all ). The house itself is spacious, has all the facilities you'll need, and a garden reached by a dozen or so steps up to a flat area where you can while away an hour or 2 reading or merely enjoying the peace. The owners are a nice, down-to-earth couple, who are not intrusive at all, but they are there if you need them. The property, as I stated, is near one end of the road, with properties further up. The town itself is 0.7 miles away, reached via parts of a nature trail, and was a pleasant jaunt indeed. I cannot fault our stay in any way.

  • "The cottage itself was everything we expected and more."

It had a wonderful home away from home feeling, the attention to detail and practicality was great. Light, spacious and extremely comfortable. We met the owners on a few occasions who were very friendly and accommodating. We are hoping to stay here again next year.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Greenbank - the cottage was more than what we expected."

The kitchen and lounge were perfect for a mini (las minute!) getaway and the owners prepares everything for us within less than 24 hours of us booking. Would definitely recommend and will visit again in future!

About the location

Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.
