The property

St Just 0.5 miles.

Located off-the-beaten-track on the edge of St Just, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a UNESCO World Heritage site, this former artist studio, dating back to 1840, has been tastefully renovated by the owners, who reside in the main house close by.

The Old Studio is a comfortable and peaceful property overlooking rolling fields, ideal for a couple who enjoy outdoor adventure, with many coastal walking and cycling routes available - not to mention wild swimming spots.

The accommodation is reverse-level and the entrance is on the first floor, with a compact open-plan living area with a woodburner and an apex ceiling and dual aspect windows creating a light filled space.

Downstairs there is a sumptuous bedroom with an en-suite shower room with fluffy towels.

A stable door leads from the bedroom to the courtyard garden for sundowners.

Nancherrow is close to the spectacular coastline at Cape Cornwall and the historic mining town of St Just.

A rare find for ramblers, beachcombers, bird-watchers and peace seekers.

Walk from the door through Kenidjack Valley, dotted with mining ruins, to the sea and South West Coast path.

See the iconic engine houses at Botallack where the Poldark mine scenes were filmed and head back via the prehistoric stone circle at Tregeseal.

You can walk to St Just and its traditional pubs serving food, cafes, galleries and curio shops and stock up on provisions at the supermarket, baker, butcher and greengrocer.

For epic views climb the cape next to the secluded sand and pebble beach at Priest's Cove.

For rolling surf and a wide stretch of white sand, head for Sennen Cove.

Follow the scenic coast road to St Ives for galleries, including the Tate, as well as boutique shops and restaurants serving the freshest fish.

St Michael's Mount, Land's End and The Minack, Cornwall's world famous open air theatre, are also a short drive.

Return home to luxurious simplicity and rustic charm, perfect for a couple looking for some peace and quiet in idyllic surroundings.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
