  • “The cottage is a home away from home and the hosts really made us feel welcome and comfortable.”

It is the perfect spot to visit both the north and south coasts of Devon and Cornwall for day trips and we enjoyed returning to quiet of the cottage after busy days out. The cottage had everything we needed and the grounds are beautiful. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed being able able to run around the fenced off paddock and we enjoyed being able to switch off. Highly recommended.

About the property

The Coach House stands in the grounds of a handsome former Vicarage in the unspoiled village of Broadwoodwidger.

Situated at the end of a quarter-mile private drive, this detached property dating back to the 19th century is a haven of peace and quiet.

You are welcome to explore the surrounding 3 acres of grounds from which there are spectacular views of the local Devon countryside.

Pretty window seats look over your own private, gated garden with table and chairs.

Also on the ground floor is a neat kitchen and recently refurbished bathroom.

On the first floor are two bedrooms; the light and airy master double and a single room with distant views over the adjacent fields.

The Coach House is ideal for walkers and those who love to spend time outside.

Nearby Roadford Lake offers an array of watersports, angling, cycling, walking trails and a lakeside cafe with stunning views.

Close to the Devon/Cornwall border, this is an ideal location for visiting both counties.
