  • "A number of what I would call safety issues : first of all window opening and safety catches - there are no safety catches on what is advertised as family accommodation - small children would be at risk with first and second level windows and the sheer drop below."

The balcony furniture to the seaward side is in dire need of replacement -one the balcony somehow being made a nicer space to use - it’s actually disgusting - dirty, mouldy, very undesirable which means the balconies don’t get used! The train side balcony furniture is left out with the cushions still on in all weathers and no cover which we are quite aware are supplied with this kind of furniture. Cobwebs everywhere and dust everywhere - certainly not dusted nor cleaned fully before our arrival. Cobwebs even on the bed headboards. Broken vertical window blinds in first floor bedroom - left unrepaired and a danger to young children. Skylight windows in bathrooms possibly broken? - and inoperable - cord to one flicked up (by cleaner?) so impossible to reach. Unclean pans in the storage drawers. Crockery stacked in an out of reach position next to the ceiling and over the kitchen hatch - why????? So Dangerous! Cups and glasses mixed up in cupboards and not that clean. Needed to wash them all before use . Dirty carpets in dining/sitting room need a very good clean as do the swivel chairs which need some leather cleaner upon them. Sitting room smells stale and cushions stink - need a good wash or dry cleaning - we nearly put these through the washing machine but then thought actually why should we? Same with the throws - they need cleaning!!! It is surely your duty to ensure these places are fit for use and are clean and smell nice - all we could smell in the sitting room were sweaty previous guests - not at all nice . Well overpriced for the quality observed. Very tight spaces all around - would not book again.

  • "Bed in master too hard for my liking Water pressure too low so although three separate bathrooms could only really have one person having a shower at a time otherwise the water temperature varies too much and the pressure dropped too low."

Spinning chairs in the lounge, very tatty and uncomfortable. Vertical blinds in the downstairs bedroom not suitable at all many are broken don’t block out the lights from the station or car park & Flap about too much if you have the door open for ventilation, would recommend blackout curtains. Teaspoons also seem to have gone missing A broom would be handy as we came back from the beach with a lot of Sandy stuff Washing line or larger drying rack would be useful. Plenty more coat hooks in all bedrooms and the hall and a shoe rack in the hall would be very helpful. Six people can have a lot of pairs of shoes on a beach holiday and don’t want to take them all upstairs, Where the storage was also limited in one of the rooms Can’t fault the location and we never had an issue with Parking 1 car.

  • "A tricky start to our holiday as there were no keys left in the key safe."

After two lengthy phone calls it was established that the housekeeper/cleaner had taken the keys home. We had to wait for keys to be brought to outside the office which resulted in us entering our apartment at approx 5.30pm. Cleanliness not up to usual standard, we have stayed in this apartment several times before. Bin lid was quite dirty & under the two leather chair cushions crumb debris seemed to have been there for quite some time. We really love this apartment but unfortunately had a few small issues this year

Thank you for taking time to giving us feedback, all feedback is taken seriously. We shall ensure all points brought up are taken into account going forwards. We hope to welcome you back again in the near future. Kind regards, Carbis Bay Holiday team. Property Owner

  • "Lovely apartment we had a wonderful stay."

There are a few things that would have made it perfect. The upstairs wooden balcony furniture is weathered and needs work. Also we couldn't find cushions.l for the chairs. The shower room in one of the upstairs bedrooms could do with re silicone it looks grubby but that is what happens with silicone. And finally cushions for the dining table chairs would be nice. Also the tub chairs have seen better days and look worn. I am only saying this so the owner might like to know. We have stayed in this apartment once before and love it. The appliances and utensils are of great quality. Only thing is I can reach the plate cupboard easily being 5'4" overall though it's fab!

We glad to see that you had a lovely stay, we will take the points you have raised into account for future improvements. We hope to see you again soon. Warmest Regards, Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "The property was filthy, really dirty, (we took photos!"

) Whilst we didn’t want to spend our holiday cleaning, we certainly left it cleaner than we found it. We requested that one of the beds was split into twins for the children in the group. On arrival we discovered that this hadn’t happened. We tried phoning the office repeatedly and received no answer. We selected call back and never got a call back. We finally made contact via WhatsApp, after giving details of booking number, name etc, the person just stopped replying. Terrible customer service, especially for repeat customers. This has put us right off making any further bookings.

Thank you for your feedback, we are very sorry to hear of the issues you experienced during your stay we can confirm we have received the photos of the carpet and grill pan and can confirm these have been resolved. We do apologise for the lost communication. Despite the issues you experienced we hope you had a wonderful holiday, and we hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. • "We absolutely loved this property and would definitely like to book it again next year."

The proximity to the beach and the train station meant that we didn't use the car all week. We only had a couple of small things to mention, as a particularly short person I couldn't reach the plates, bowls etc and some of the mirrors were slightly high so could only see to do my hair if stood on tip toes, although possibly not a bad thing :)

Thank you for taking your time to leave feedback, its much appreciated. We are glad to hear you loved the property and would book it again next year, we will be sure to pass your comments onto the owner for their consideration. We hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "Fabulous location and superb accommodation probably more suited to 5 adults or perhaps 4 adults 1-2 children."

Parking was no issue we had space to park 2 cars close by. Third bedroom a little tight for space and places for clothes better suited to kids or one adult. Also kitchen quite small, but lovely space and views from lounge/diner and upstairs bedrooms with outside space were fabulous.
