  • "First impressions, parking, steps were not good."

But once in OK. an patio area view and space great. Our rear bedroom en suite suffered from a bad smell damp?, cats?, which was unpleasant and made sleeping difficult. That shower is rediculously small and the shower rail came apart when touched. There was no power to bedside lamps in rear bedroom ( I went out and purchased an extension lead to get 1 working). The hot water was not turned on in rear shower room, I found heater in cupboard and switched on. No hair dryer. No1 shower over bath no seals, generating leaks. Front 2 bedrooms and bathroom good. Lounge area a massive of multiple plugs into extension cables. Kitchen good, but too many old cutlery and crockery pieces, some dirty. Patio new? Slabs loose, not bedded in causing rocking and noise from above assumed same issue. Hand rail on steps down approaching flat rusted off safety issues. Steps overgrown with foliage. No instruction sheet/folder as is usual in every other place we've ever rented. For example, oven is hard to fathom. TV didn't seem to work, I found a not connected internal aerial/ amplifier which solved that. Over all looks like a family holiday flat or home which is now rented out, as kitchen arrangements, furniture and such are variable in quality. We've stayed in several Carbis Bay properties over many years, it's a higher standard than this generally. This flat looks half way through upgrade? But a great view and position

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us feedback and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed the fantastic views and location of the property. We are sorry to hear that some aspects did not meet your expectations. This is a family holiday home, with books, games and puzzles provided for visitors, so this may differ from other properties that are sole holiday lets. We are looking into the issues you raised as regards the shower, patio tiles, hand rails and maintenance comments and apologise that these detracted from your stay. Had we been contacted during your time here, we would of course have investigated at once and assisted with any of the issues raised. We are very sorry to hear you were not able to locate the instruction manuals for the property specifically the new oven instruction located in the cupboard in the kitchen, had we known we would of course have been happy to help you locate this. As this is a self-catering property, a hairdryer is not usually provided as standard, but we will take a note of this requirement for future stays. Thank you again for taking the time to share such thorough feedback and we hope you were able to enjoy your long weekend at the property. The feedback is genuinely useful to us and we are so glad you enjoyed Moonrakers wonderful view and space. It is one of the best positioned properties in Carbis Bay and it is lovely to hear that came through during your stay. Property Owner

  • "We all enjoyed our holiday stay, the views of Carbris Bay sea and beach were fabulous."

The property was clean and comfortable, having all facilities needed to make a enjoyable stay. In the kitchen We used the top oven but could not get the bottom oven to work. There are many steps down to the property, so would not advise for people with disabilities. But we would definitely recommend this property, to all family and friends. Walks down to the beach and to St Ives although there is a train a short distance away that can take you there in just a few minutes.
