"Lovely cottage in a special and unique place right beside the sea."
The cottage was clean, the bathrooms of an excellent specification and the beds were comfortable. Porthgwarra Cove is wonderful, and the nearby cafe kiosk made our stay even nicer. We’ve booked for next year already. Only one slight snag, switching on the towel rail in one of the bathrooms tripped the electricity for the whole cottage. However the ‘fuse’ box was easily accessed and power was quickly restored.

"Should have pointed out earlier, but when one turns on the bathroom towel rail the electrics go off."
Otherwise everything was excellent.

"This is our 3rd stay at Cove Cottage."
We have had another brilliant week here and have already booked to come next year! On the first morning we went down to the cove and saw 7 seals! We also saw the fireworks at Lands end from the headland, they are every Tues and Thurs all Summer. Thank you

"Bathroom window would benefit from being worked on so that it opens and shuts easily idea of having a table tennis table in the utility room."

"The holiday was the best holiday ever."
Location was stunning seeing seals most days , having the beach to ourselves most mornings was heaven. Waking up to the view of the sea will be something I miss. Bedroom light did not work . Dishwasher not empty on arrival and TV was very complicated to work but overall a fab holiday

"Once again a lovely stay at Cove Cottage this year."
We are annual return visitors so note that the refreshed living space and bathrooms from a couple of seasons ago have really lifted the property. We know what we are getting as we visit each year, so these improvements are appreciated. We love our stay at Cove Cottage. The location is brilliant and the communication with the St Aubyn and Sykes teams have always been good. It really is our intention to keep returning. Yours with huge thanks, to both the Sykes and St Aubyn teams.

"The Bathroom window needs repair."
Would not close and the handle fouls the blind. A pity no Kitchen Roll was provided for the empty holder.

"Porthgwarra & its envious are stunning, nothing more, nothing less!"
We always feel so calmed from the moment we arrive.

"Porthgwarra never disappoints - We have been coming here since our daughters were small so the best part of 35 years."
Feels like home. A Beautiful week with gorgeous weather so we made good use of the coast path in both directions. Also a wonderful afternoon at Cape Cornwall- Sea Choughs and seals (including one being 'rehomed' by the seal rescue centre. Trenainton and Trewidden gardens looking splendid. Thank you for the splendid hamper- very much enjoyed and as ever are reluctant to leave but we shall undoubtably be back.

"This is a superb place to spend a wild February week, the cottage with its little wood burner was warm, snug and the views out into the Cove, suffice to say, just stunning and spectacular."
Yes there were Dolphins, Seals, and lots of different sea birds including the famous Cornish Chuf to discover and enjoy. Cove Cottage provided a great base to ensure a memorable holiday.

Where you’ll be staying
PORTHGWARRA
Sennen 3 miles; Land's End 4.1 miles; Penzance 12 miles.
The parish of St Levan derives its name from the 4th Century saint who settled here. The ancient ruins of his Chapel can still be seen today above Church Cove, one of three beautiful and secluded beaches on this wild, unspoilt, and staggeringly beautiful peninsular, the most South Westerly point in the UK. Porthgwarra, the next beach along, sparkles at the end of a valley. You’ll find tunnels hewn into the cliffs, and the Porthgwarra Cove Café, along with the Guest Hub. It is the place to go for breakfast, lunch, ice cream, cakes, cream teas, pasties, helpful advice, and arranging holiday fun. Seals are endlessly dropping by. Continue over the clifftops and you arrive at Nanjizal, accessible only by foot and without a road in sight. At one end stands the stunning Zawn Pyg (‘Song of the Sea’) a natural rock arch that has captivated people for centuries. If the fancy took you to go on, then Sennen is around the corner. As well as being nestled in secluded coastal locations, our cottages are just a stone’s throw from some of Cornwall’s best-loved sights. Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre are within walking distance. St Michael’s Mount, St Ives, and many of the area’s best beaches are just a short drive away.
