• "We had a wonderful short stay at Anchors Rest!"

  The apartment was stunning and the views across the bay were amazing. Lying in bed first thing in the morning with a cup of tea, gazing across the bay was just so magical. The apartment was extremely clean and tidy on our arrival, with some lovely welcome gifts awaiting us. The facilities in the apartment were extremely high standard and the bedding in the main bedroom was so sumptuous ….we are even going to order the same ones for our home. We cannot fault our stay at all and really look forward to returning to Anchors Rest very soon. It was our first visit to Carbis Bay and St. Ives and we both fell in love with the place. Just for your feedback for future guests ….it would perhaps be a good idea to have a soft brush broom to sweep the floors and also maybe some blinds in the main bedroom as well to help block out the early morning light. Just a thought not a criticism. Thank you so much to Anchors Rest for our lovely stay and we would most definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for that perfect place to relax and unwind. • "We have been holidaying in the St Ives area since the mid 90's and had never stayed in Carbis Bay area always choosing St Ives itself as wanting to be at the centre of everything."

  Firstly how wrong were we, the area around Carbis Bay is beautful and so is the apartment, it has everything you could want from a holiday apartment, the veiws which are to say the least breathtaking, the cleanliness everything seemed fresh and well maintained and the included facilities which all far exceeded our expectations. There is a train station that's only five minutes away and it is only £2 to St Ives for an open return which takes 3mins. So for us we had the best of both worlds stunning veiws and within minutes we could be in the heart of St Ives. Simply the best apartment we have ever stayed in and can't wait to return.

• "The property although was great it wasn’t as well equipped as some of the others I have stayed in at the same address and not as practical to live in A good example was a lack of cooking equipment and the bed side tables in the quest room which had lattice woven tops that wouldn’t even support a nighttime drink of water."

• "Weather not too kind but we were very comfortable and really enjoyed the view."

  Apartment was tastefully decorated. Two minor issues: Dressing table/desk would have been brilliant if only the mirror was lower. Not being 7ft tall I couldn’t see to dry my hair from a sitting position. The other issue no “dustpan and brush”. This would have been helpful to sweep up crumbs rather than getting out the vacuum cleaner! All in all a fantastic place to stay.

• "Stay was absolutely worth every penny."

  Waking up to the view of greenish blue sea view was breathtaking and refreshing. We didn’t feel like going out to explore rest of St. Ives when were in the property, that itself was so relaxing. All the facilities in the property was absolutely what you need to make you feel at home. The little welcome treats were really good. My toddler and eight year old thoroughly enjoyed being in the apartment rather than going out to beach.It was only in a walkable distance from the St.Ives beach and train station. So many eat outs are there in 1-2 mile distance.Only few things that we found not upto the mark was washing machine and kettle. It was a bit disappointing that we couldn’t wash our clothes for a week after i found out the mould in the lid rim washer and i don’t think kettle has had a descaling for ages . Please do rectify these and make sure these things are cleaned regularly. Otherwise it was the best stay i ever had!!! Totally recommend it !!!

• "This property has all you will ever need for a relaxing holiday."

  We have been in other frontline properties in this area and this one, with its uninterrupted view over Carbis Bay and St Ives harbour is way ahead of the competition. Indoor layout also complements the view. From the sofa, bedroom or patio, just amazing.

• "We had a peaceful quiet comfortable stay,one of the best we have stayed in carbis bay/st ives ."

  Would love to return again. One very slight moan was being a coffee drinker there was no caffeteare or capsules for coffee machine to set us off . And no games .only electric mp 4 player not suitable for non tech folk.

  Walking distance to St Ives and close proximity to the train station at Carbis Bay. A beautiful apartment, would definitely book this one again but have noticed a big increase in next years prices.

• ""Wow, what an amazing view this apartment has."

  The apartment had everything you needed, the king size bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in, I wanted to take it home with me. The binoculars to use were a lovely touch and were used frequently. The train station is a 5-minute walk and for 2 adults and 1 Child it cost £3.90 return to St Ives. The beach is a 5-minute walk away and you can hire wet suits for £10 a day and water activities are available. Loads of places to eat in St Ives, The Rum and Crab Shack was brilliant and The Harbour St Ives Fish restaurant was great value, fish and unlimited chips for £9.75, the fish was huge. There is a Tesco 10 mins drive away."

  The views from the apartment are fantastic; sitting on the patio drinking Camel Valley fizz - you cannot get much better overlooking St Ives and Carbis Bay. We have stayed in Carbis Bay many, many times but this was the first time on this side of the bay and really enjoyed it. The apartment is very nice. It has everything in the kitchen you would want. The bedrooms are very comfortable and having a superking bed is great. The bathrooms were very clean although I would have preferred a more powerful shower. There is no Sky and a pretty small tv; it didn't bother us on this occasion as we were not in the apartment to watch it but it would have been more important if the weather was rubbish and we stayed in more. Our housekeeper Hayley was very accommodating too - thank you!"
