  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kim’s cottage."

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. We found the local people very welcoming and we felt very central for visiting the South of Cornwall.

  • "The cottage is very comfortable, well kept, and exactly as described."

It is in quite a narrow lane but it is possible to park outside the property. The weather was very good which made visits to the beach a must. It was very helpful to have some beach equipment available for use. Body boards, chairs, wind break and beach shelter all came in very useful. We had a couple of queries that were answered very promptly by the owners Clare and Pete. A wonderful relaxing, peaceful place with fantastic locations to visit nearby. We would certainly come again.

  • "Lovely cottage and very comfortable."

Better blinds or curtains would be better in bedrooms though as when cars go past at night the whole room lights up. Also found the heating impossible to put on so had to sit and shiver under a blanket while watching tv - luckily it was our last night. The people staying in the cottage next door had a dog that barked constantly - I did contact Sykes and although they got back to me initially they never contacted me again which was disappointing. All in all had a lovely stay though and would happily stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. It’s a shame you didn’t contact us about the heating as we would have been able to tell you that full instructions are in the folder in the living room.my mobile number is in the same folder. Sadly, I am unable to control the dog staying at the holiday cottage next door, but do know the owners, so again, if you had contacted me I would have been able to contact them. I find it strange that you gave us such an awful score, which could have an impact on future bookings, but then say you would stay again. I’d rather you didn’t as you have really been unfair. • "Property unfortunately suffers from damp, due to the age and location rather than any absence of maintenance and care."

The location and facilities are excellent, and ideally located. I'm glad I am very experienced at driving on Cornish lanes. The walk to Goldsithney is beautiful. Love the garden, great to sit out when the weather is suitable. I recommend changing the cupboard hinges to soft close versions, that took a bit of getting used to. Thank you for the biscuits and tea/coffee, this was very thoughtful. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the lounge/cooking facilities were very high quality. I might suggest including some instructions on how to switch the child lock for the hob off, It took some time to find online instructions.

  • "An excellent location for exploring west Cornwall."

Quiet. Very comfortable beds and high class linen. A mirror and a wastepaper basket would have been handy in all bedrooms. Lovely shower. One toilet roll supplied not enough for 5 people for a week. Well equipped kitchen although would have liked a teapot! Some stains on carpets and cushions. Utility room was a great bonus for drying clothes. Garden was a bit of a let down as view from picnic table was either of the rather tatty back of the house or garden debris. No recycling facilities.

  • "Great holiday in Cornwall and the area around St Hilary is superb."

Kim's Cottage is lovely and although the beds were extremely comfortable and amenities were good, the carpet lacks cleanliness and back garden does require tidying up. The fan on the landing is noisy but i suppose it has to be on for ventilation! Overall loved our stay. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. I am struggling to find a gardener to keep on top of the weeds, but we are hoping this will be sorted soon. We have had the carpets cleaned this weekend, we are really pleased with how good they look now. The fan is indeed to keep the air flowing as these cottages are so prone to damp. I hope it didn’t spoil your sleep. We hope that you will come back again sometime. Thank you for choosing our cottage for your holiday. Property Owner

We’ve had an absolutely lovely week & Kim’s Cottage has been the icing on the cake. It’s beautiful, cosy, warm & inviting. A home away from home. We could’ve have asked for more. Perfect base to explore Cornwall & not just the local area, get the train to St Ives or drive to Penzance & pick up the bus & enjoy the coastal road around Lands End & back again. Looking forward to a return visit next year

  • "We had a wonderfully relaxing week at Kim's Cottage, everything was exactly like the listing and we had no problem at all."

The cottage was warm, welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen contained everything you would need and the utensils were good quality. There were only two of us so we only slept in one of the kingsized beds but it was very comfortable. Everywhere was also very clean. The location is great for visiting both the north and south coasts and the leaflets in the cottage were handy. The owner contacted us at the start and end of the holiday and communication was very friendly with quick replies. All in all we would definitely recommend.

  • "Absolutely beautiful cottage in an ideal location."

We stayed for a week in July and wished we could have stayed longer. The village of St Hilary is perfectly located for day trips out to St Ives (think it only took a 20min drive), Marazion and the Lizard Peninsula. Or there are lots of interesting walks around the local area straight from the cottage. The church over the road is a little gem, full of interesting artwork. The double beds in the cottage are huge! and so comfortable. I slept perfectly each night. The cottage is beautiful decorated and thoughtfully furnished throughout. (i.e cosy blankets in the lounge). The kitchen is new and perfectly equipped. We’ve spent most of our holidays in self catering accommodation and this was one of the nicest properties we’ve stayed in. And the owner is very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay here again. Thank you
