Although the weather was terrible it didn't matter as we were so comfortable and content in the cottage. The garden was perfect for our nervous dog, it is fully enclosed. The hot tub is an added bonus.

The cottage is spotlessly clean and furnished beautifully and also has a well equipped kitchen and utility room and amazingly comfortable king size bed. The hot tub is also amazing and also immaculately maintained, we enjoyed relaxing in it even in the rain. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to rebook in the future.

  • "This is probably one of the best places we have stayed with our springer spaniel."

Made better by the outdoor utility room that we were able to dry the clothes off after quite a damp week. Very clean and some lovely goodies as we arrived. The only thing I would say is that it could benefit from another arm chair. But that is being very picky. Will definitely be staying again. The property owners have thought of everything. Was very very impressed.

The cottage was lovely and comfortable perfect for a winter break with the underfloor heating. We really enjoyed our stay and thought the cottage was great. Normally we never stay in the same place more than once, but we both said we would certainly be happy to holiday in pear tree cottage again.

Very secluded with the walls around the property which was great for our dog, she had no chance of escaping. Liked the utility room which was great to hang all your wet gear, so warm in there. The Hot tub, what a godsend for this time of year, very warm to relax your muscles when you wake up or after a long day out. Overall a great warm cottage throughout. Thanks Natalie.

  • "A beautiful cottage in a great location."

The cottage was spotless and well equipped. We didn’t have the greatest weather when we were away but that didn’t stop us enjoying everything. The enclosed garden was super safe for our doggies (who want to be outside come rain or shine!) and totally private so we could enjoy the hot tub in peace. One of my favourite cottages so far of our many trips to Cornwall. We hope to return.

  • "We have been super impressed with Pear Tree Cottage!"

It’s a beautiful place to stay! It had everything we needed (and I cooked a 3 course Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings!!) and had a separate building for utilities! We really struggle to find places that are good for our dogs, lots say they accept pets but miss certain features that make them dog friendly, or compromise on the quality of decor and furniture. We found this place really was the best of both, everything was lovely and clean, and the high walled enclosed garden was a god send for us, this meant that we could let them out to toilet without having to lead them round, and we had privacy so they weren’t reacting to people walking past the property all the time. It also had a hot tub for us to relax in which is an added bonus! It’s been the best Christmas and we have been so impressed, will definitely be back!!

We're so pleased to hear to you enjoyed your stay and we'd love to welcome you back xx Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Pear Tree Cottage."

Walled garden is perfect for the dogs, much bigger than anticipated, and the outdoor utility was a god send for our wet coats and walking boots. The cottage is modern and clean while still offering the warm home comforts. Kitchen is very well equipped. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Hot tub is great, very spacious and clean. The fire was such a cosy addition, and very welcome especially during Storm Ciarán. Beautiful rural location, lots of lovely dog walks in the surrounding area. Natalie was great, very helpful and friendly. Left us a lovely welcome pack, with treats for both us and the dogs, which was really touching and very much appreciated. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you again for a lovely stay ❤️

  • "Me and my partner has a lovely time."

The property was clean and comfortable and the hot tub was lovely. The walled garden was fantastic for the dog and they even left us a little welcome pack with milk, tea bags, chocolate, biscuits and dog treats! They also left a nice folder with info on local places to eat and things to do. You cannot leave your dog unattended at all which was slightly inconvenient for us as we would have liked to pop to the shops or go out for dinner. Didn’t ruin the holiday though but something to note.

  • "Certainly no cottage, More akin to a stable."

And next to a cow field. From leaking and loose shower fixings to passive aggressive don’t do this signs for everything. Bathroom tap loose. Shower loose and not enclosed so water everywhere!! Constant flies everywhere due to long uncut grass and the messy builders yard next door. Unable to alter any heating so towel rail was essentially an ornament. No storage and in the week long stay not once did the owners pop in to introduce themselves. All in all over priced and under delivered.

Thanks for your review. We will certainly be looking at the shower & tap on our next change over. I’m sorry you didn’t feel you could report it during your stay. We didn’t find a problem with flies on the last changeover, but we will of course look into this also. The grass is cut each week, I can only think you mean the wildflower bank, the gardeners will be cutting it on their next visit. We use the land next door as storage, we have this screened by a 6’4 fence but we will look at heightening it. We are surrounded by fields that sometimes has cows in them. We offer a hanging rail for 2 people and underbed storage, a coat/shoe cupboard and a utility room in the garden with further hanging rail and enough room for bikes etc. We were away for the first day or so of your stay and don’t like being intrusive when guests have already settled in but are always available on mobiles which are in the guest book/welcome email should guests need us. We are really sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your stay and we will look into any improvements. Property Owner
