    “The property was very clean and comfortable.”

    I was surprised there was not a supply of toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets for the week. There was also no washing up liquid. The property was advertised as having an enclosed garden but unfortunately this was not the case so it made it awkward with our dog. However we did manage ok. Overall though the property was great and I would love to stay again.

The property

Sitting at the head of the spectacular water feature that meanders through Faraway Fields, this delightful detached home occupies a simply stunning location, set very much on its own and surrounded by mature trees and varied planting.

Extensive decking lying to 2 sides.

Three sets of French doors lead from the Lounge and Dining Areas providing level access to the outside space.

Master Bedroom one also features a set of French doors which lead onto the delightful private patio, somewhere to enjoy that first cup of coffee or breakfast.

The hot tub is screened to provide privacy yet let the sun in!

From the deck there is level access onto the extensive grassed area that lies to one side of the home.

At the rear, there is a large parking area for 2 cars.

The living space is light and airy and well designed so as to take the sun as it moves round during the day.

From the home and also from the deck there are wonderful far reaching views towards the surrounding countryside.

Southern Halt commands a perfect location for exploring.

Venture up to the North Coast and visit Padstow, Rock, Polzeath and Port Isaac.

Alternatively, drop south and visit Looe, Polperro or Fowey.

Nearby Bodmin Moor offers endless walking opportunities as does the South West Coast Path.

Join the A30 at Bodmin and head west to Eden, Truro, Falmouth, Newquay, St Ives and Lands End.

The village of Dobwalls lies just down the road with its pub and convenience stores.

Nearby Liskeard offers more extensive shopping and other facilities.

Liskeard 3 miles; Looe 15 miles.

The rural village of Dobwalls is surrounded by open fields and wooded countryside, and is close to the market town of Liskeard, the slopes of Bodmin Moor and the glorious north and south Cornish coastlines. This is a perfect base for exploring the many delights the region has to offer, with the picturesque fishing harbours of Looe, Fowey and Polperro within 15 miles to the south whilst Padstow and the surfing beach at Polzeath lie a comfortable drive away on the North Coast. Take a trip to Siblyback Lake and enjoy the wonderful sailing, fishing and watersports on offer, or travel a little further and take advantage of the superb walking on Bodmin Moor. The Eden project lies within 15 miles and Plymouth is just a 30 minute drive, or 25 minute train ride from nearby Liskeard station. With the Barbican harbour district, renowned aquarium, and good selection of shops, restaurants and theatres, this is a great holiday base.
