  • The lodge was amazing, I will definitely be returning.

“The other lodges on the site also look cool so I might try out a few of the other ones as well! The lodge we stayed, 9 Horizon View, was very spacious. Myself and my fiance just went for a weekend away on our own, however, the lodge could comfortably fit a family/group of people. Modern decor, clean and homely. TVs in every bedroom and a large TV in the living room, as well as a Bluetooth speaker. The hot tub worked perfectly, I've seen other reviews mentioning jets not working right, not sure ...”

The hot tub worked perfectly, I've seen other reviews mentioning jets not working right, not sure if that was an issue that has since been fixed or if whoever wrote it didn't know you could twist the jets to open or close them, but anyway, it worked perfectly for us. Kitchen had everything you need, I like the touch of a pod coffee machine (I can't remember which pod type it was for, think it was dolce gusto. Plenty of space to park right by your lodge, easily enough space for 2 or 3 cars. Although the lodges are fairly close to eachother, they are cleverly positioned and, along with help from some landscaping, being decking out the back with the hot tub does feel private. The location is brilliant as a base in Cornwall, there's plenty of towns to visit within a 30 mins drive (Looe and Bodmin around 15 mins, Polperro around 20 and Fowey around 30) and many more places a little further. I'm already looking at when I can come back for another few nights soon and will probably look to book for a week at some point as well, as the only complaint I'd have about this holiday is that I only booked 3 nights haha! Stunning lodge in a beautiful and useful location. Can't wait to see you again soon, Southern Halt!”

The property

Occupying a secluded and elevated position, set within countryside and immaculate grassy fields is this luxury lodge in a tranquil location.

9 Horizon View offers spacious accommodation for family and friends to come together and make the most of an ideal countryside setting.

The sitting and dining areas come with natural light from the panoramic windows, layered with an all-white, stylish finish.

The contrasting purple sofas with sumptuous cushions allow you to have a cosy and relaxing evening while maybe watching a film on the large TV set within the wall and warming the room with a pleasant glow from the fire.

A pristine kitchen provides you with all you need to make your holiday as comfortable as possible.

Throw open the French doors on a summer afternoon and step out onto the decking to gaze into the distance at the rolling pastures that stretch for miles or make use of the sunken hot tub and let the bubbles soothe any aches and pains as you admire the breath-taking views.

You may want to dine alfresco on a warm summers' night or wrap up warm in winter and enjoy starry skies out on the decking.

There are plenty of places to visit enveloping the cottage, such as Liskeard which a few miles away with a train station taking you to the picturesque fishing village of Looe.

This journey will pass through the wooded valleys teeming with wildlife, and give you views of the estuary as the river meets the sea.

Looe boasts a lively bustle around its quay and offers much to see and do including; twisting your way around cobbled streets to find shops and pubs, and ambling along Banjo Pier to watch the fishing trawlers return.

Guests can enjoy the Old Mill Bar and Restaurant at our sister site, Stonerush Lakes, which can be found less than 15 minutes away.
