Property Owner Reviewed by AdamNov 2023 "This property has a superb location but was not well cleaned and information was not accurate we asked before we went if there was a barbeque and told no but could bring one which we did but when we arrived found large gas barbeque." Description bed sizes not correct bunk beds double - matters when have to provide own linen. A shame had to provide own linen and we had two weeks and had to have a change over which was inconvenient. Clearer information re refuse and recycling be welcome too. Having said that the property was truly a home from home but in the most spectacular location and would definitely re book if can get a free slot! John Bray know all the local properties in this area and are a pleasure to deal with such a shame they have handed over to Sykes who are clueless and too large. Bedrooms needed sweeping, one bedroom had pair of socks under a bed and another a tennis ball. One bathroom had cobwebs and bath not clean. Outside chairs ound the table extremely comfortable. We did find that the tumble dryers didn't work particularly well and of course the main fridge in the kitchen didn't work nor did the ice maker. There were no batteries in the scale which was neither here nor there (just an observation) I understand why the road is so terrible but I have to say, my car really struggled, which made "popping" to the shops a no-no but you have a very beautiful place and I wish it was mine. It was just the two of us so we didn’t get to use its full potential but we loved every minute. Beautiful views and always a changing scene at the mouth of the tidal estuary. Also perfectly situated for the sunsets. Ideally located between Daymer Bay and Polzeath, we had lots of walking options and then an unbelievable choice of settees and views when we got back home for a rest. The electric hand whisk, and cake tins came in very useful for making the birthday cake, and overall the catering equipment was first class! Accessed via a pretty, unmade lane, with coastal footpaths nearby leading down to Greenaway and Daymer Bay, Splits can accommodate ten guests over five bedrooms, making it ideal for an extended family getaway to Cornwall. There is a large, sunny front lawn and ample parking, and a private balcony, perfect for enjoying family meals from, with uninterrupted views of the stunning sunsets. The well-appointed bedrooms and five bathrooms make Splits a luxurious place to stay on the North Cornwall coast, whilst the living areas all benefit from lots of glass windows and sensational, sea views. View on map About the location DAYMER BAY Polzeath 1.3 miles Rock 2.3 miles Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders, with the gentle waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. At low tide you can walk across the sand to the village of Rock to indulge in a spot of retail therapy or a bite to eat at one of the many delicious eateries, or catch the short ferry ride and explore the delights of Padstow. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce.
