It is a beautifully appointed two bedroomed apartment, with everything you could possibly want. Everything was perfect to the tiniest detail, and spotlessly clean. The views down to the river were lovely. The apartment is situated within a short walk into the town with so many shops and eateries and even beaches. The harbour area with the Banjo Pier is very pretty and contains two amazing restaurants, The Sardine Factory and the Fish Market. The welcome and information from the owners was second to none, with a folder full of information and even a welcome goodie box on arrival. They were always available for any queries too. Secure parking was an added bonus. We would heartily recommend this property and will be back! Thank you for the lovely feedback. The apartment is spotlessly clean, with a good sized open plan kitchen, living, dining area. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Creekside is just a few minutes walk to all the restaurants, pubs and amenities. The fact that there is an allocated parking space is a bonus. Would not hesitate to recommend this apartment. Please accept my apologies Property Owner Reviewed by Robert5.0★Jul 2023 "Lovely chic and comfortable accommodation." Just a couple of items that would have improved things, firstly two sets of keys. It was difficult as we sometimes needed to come and go at different times, also it would have helped to know before we arrived, which key safe to look for. The only other thing that we could have done with was an iron. But these are minor issues, which didn’t spoil our enjoyment and the owner was at the end of a phone to help us with the key safe. Fabulous place and great location. Hi Jacqueline. I am so sorry you felt there was no iron. The iron/ironing board etc is located in the large cupboard in the lounge. I have spoken to Sykes and they have assured me they send out full key collection instructions to all guests prior to arrival. Only downside no airer in the flat to hang clothes washing not suitable for a tumble dryer. Also this is not the place for you if you have wetsuits to dry. Ours stayed wet in the car for a week which wasn’t ideal. Would definitely recommend. Hi Charlotte there is a heated Airer/Dryer in the cupboard in the lounge. The property Located in a unique waterside conservation area with panoramic views over Looe and the estuary, this superb bespoke apartment offers the ultimate in luxury, with the highest quality fittings and furnishings and underfloor heating throughout. You arrive at Creekside in West Looe and go through the private gated entrance before taking the stairs to the second floor and entering into the splendid, spacious open plan living area. Lounge around on the cosy sofas and gaze across the boatyard over the estuary towards Looe town, a favourite holiday destination since Victorian times. There are two beautifully furnished bedrooms here, a king-size double and a room with zip/link beds offering the option of a king-size double or a twin. Outside, a large shed is ideal for storing bikes and boards. A short stroll over the seven arched historic Victorian bridge will take you into East Looe with a maze of narrow streets, shops, cafes and pubs leading to the main beach. Over the years the town has retained its small fishing fleet, returning daily to offload their catch and ensuring the most fresh fish to supply the excellent restaurants. No wonder a local fish and chip shop was named the best in the country, as they source their fish from the boats coming in and out of the harbour. Walking through West Looe and around to Hannafore is an easy walk, where children will delight in the rock pools on the beach opposite historic Looe Island. On the way back, be sure to call into the Jolly Sailor, established in 1516; it is one of the oldest inns in the country, and ideal for a refreshment stop. With good beaches on both sides of the river and so much to see and do in the area, a stay in this superb apartment offers excellent accommodation in a wonderful location, at any time of the year. Note: This property has a refundable Good Housekeeping bond of £100. View on map About the location LOOE Polperro 5 miles. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. You can also catch the river taxi between East and West Looe. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops, whilst West Looe has a lovely outlook across the harbour. Looe’s viewpoint, Banjo Pier, can be reached from the quay and is a great spot to watch the returning fishing trawlers and look across the bay to Looe Island, which can be walked to occasionally at very low tides. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. There is also a great rock pool area at Hannafore that children will love. West Looe has a Heritage Centre that recently opened in the Old Sardine Factory with a climbing wall and a cafe and the delightful Kilminorth Woods have way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect and bird life. Apart from beach activities in this part of south east Cornwall, there are many mining remains on Bodmin Moor and in the Tamar Valley and much of the mining landscape has World Heritage status. This area of Cornwall has inspired writers, such as Daphne du Maurier and much of Bodmin Moor has inspired legends linked with King Arthur. There is much to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
