  • "Mermaid cottage was the perfect place to stay, so close to the harbour and there were so many great places to eat within a few minutes walk."

    Easy access to the coastal trail and it was much nicer to stay in such a quiet and picturesque village while still having easy access to larger towns. Wish we could of stayed longer

  • "Mermaid Cottage is idyllic."

    Anything you could possibly need has been thought about by the owners. The charm of the cottage will stay with me forever as will the week I spend in Mousehole with my Family. I would highly recommend this cottage for a Family holiday both my children 11 and 13 absolutely loved it, there is so much to do in Mousehole you could spend your entire holiday on the lovely little beach, rock pooling, crabbing, watching the sea lions, exploring the alley ways and beautiful cottages. Eating at the restaurants and of course jumping in off the harbour wall. Likewise you are minutes away from beautiful beaches like St Ives, Sennen cove and many more. Loved it Loved it.

  • "Lovely location."

    Parked on the road into Mousehole, not far to walk, as the harbour car park was often full. Cottage very cosy, although downstairs a little chilly, even in the warm Spring weather. Log burner didn't seem to provide much heat. Stairs are quite steep, although not a problem for us but might be for the elderly and young children. Very comfortable bed. Welcome pack a lovely bonus.

  • "Lovely cottage, clean,good culinary electrical facilities,comfortable beds,etc downside, no good heating ,would not have used woodburner let alone replace wood used, stairs were manageable but steep,would not suit elderly clients."

  • "Had a fantastic stay at Mermaid Cottage, the only things we would say is the folder with all the information does need an update, it states the Bin day is Wednesday, so when we went to put the bin out Tuesday night there was a note on the bin stating collection day is Tuesday so we unfortunatly missed the collection."

    Also the shower tray doesn't drain fast enough, as someone who likes a long shower I had to keep turning the shower off and on again as I was about the flood the bathroom. None of this however detracted from a fabulois stay in your lovely cottage.

  • "Had a fab stay at Mermaid Cottage."

    Lovely accommodation spread over three floors. Great location close to the harbour and some really great places to eat on the doorstep. Ideal for exploring the south west tip of Cornwall. Highly recommend the Mousehole bus.

  • "Perfect house in a magical location."

    The cottage is beautifully decorated and with lots of local art and furnishings. Mousehole itself didn’t disappoint and the local shops and pubs are really lovely. Ideal spot to see that West part of Cornwall. We enjoyed the games provided and the supplies of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. We would highly recommend anyone to stay at Mermaid Cottage.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Cottage, set in the heart of beautiful Mousehole."

    The cottage is set over 3 floors and was perfect for us and our two teenagers. The ground floor was very homely with a comfy sofa and large family breakfast table, where we enjoyed sitting together and playing the board games provided! All mod cons. Only downside was no washing machine. Upstairs the rooms were bright, airy and quiet. Beautiful bathroom which felt new and clean. Great shower and bath. Mousehole itself is in a perfect location and with easy access to some great beaches for surfing and fantastic walks. We hope to stay again!

Unfortunately, we haven't yet worked out where we could fit a washing machine, which we agree is a shame! We fell in love with the Range cooker and now there's no room :-). MOUSEHOLE

Penzance 4 miles; St Ives 12 miles.

A delightful fishing village nestled on a hillside and spilling down to the shore. The picturesque harbour, surrounded by its maze of winding narrow streets, draws visitors from miles around, while in the distance St Michael's Mount stands proudly in the centre of Mounts Bay. A fabulous coastline and miles of spectacular walking characterise the area, with seabirds, seals and wild headlands leading just around the corner to Land's End. The Minack cliff-top theatre is a few miles along the coast, while reminders of the region's ancient past in the form of Dolmens and standing stones appear everywhere. St Ives, with its stunning beaches, beautiful harbour and narrow winding streets is just 12 miles away.

The cottage can only accommodate a maximum of 4 adults, as the bunk beds are for under 12’s only.
